  1. -Feeling really down tonight -Super antsy and distracted lately +I leave for tour in Canada soon ++++Chilling with Errol for a few weeks. +Chick is into me -She lives far away and is taller than me. awkward.
  2. I grew up in Alaska so cold winters really don't bother me all that much. Not something that would stop me from moving somewhere. I currently just make coffee. I've had a bunch of random jobs. Will probably go back to school at some point which is something to consider I guess for new cities but not a deciding factor.
  3. the hills in Austin wouldn't bother me at all. Seattle is more or less all hills, most of them pretty big. The drivers their sound like the ones here. I swear Washington drivers are the biggest morons ever.
  4. Mike I wouldn't be moving till the end of winter at the earliest if I do move so you've got plenty of time to come for a visit. You have to have a car? How's public transport? One of Austin's pluses for me is that I could ride my bike year round. The only problem with that is the one you talked about, the heat. Growing up in Alaska and spending the last seven years in the NW means I'm a sissy with heat, especially humidity. So yeah that could prove to be a huge issue. Also the idea of having to worry about roaches in my house freaks me the fuck out. The housing coast is also a huge plus. My three bedroom in Seattle is $1450 a month and we got super lucky finding our place. I currently work at Nordstrom and am going to try to get a second job at Trader Joe's so I may be able to just transfer my job to wherever.
  5. So I've recently been kicking around the idea of moving to a new city. I love Seattle but I've been feeling like getting out and seeing other places. What's your favorite place and why?
  6. This. I didn't even bother finishing the song. I thought it was boring and uninteresting.
  7. Jesus, crazy old thread. I got mine from Banquet and it is not numbered.
  8. do not get a fixie unless you already ride a lot and by a lot I mean a ton! Seriously. I love riding my fixie but I had already been riding a lot when I got my and it still kicked my ass and had a fairly high level learning curve. I would suggest an older road bike that is in decent condition which will save you a lot or a nicer single speed which will be lighter and need less maintenance. If you were interested in spending a bit more you can have an entire single speed bike built by www.missionbicycle.com for $750-$850
  9. This I also can't believe they let Setiguchi go
  10. http://www.interpunk.com/item.cfm?item=79368&
  11. Was there a reason that she didn't want to before?
  12. Portland is neat. Pretty city, great public transportation and good to ride bikes in. Lots of good food. I enjoy Seattle a lot more but like anything it's all subjective. I would suggest looking into both cities though.
  13. opps haha Crazy good game tonight. Van was laying on some crazy hard hits.
  14. Also Steve Evetts(sp?) made this sound fucking bangin!
  15. This is a bummer! Mine is moving to New York in August.
