First song is the largely acoustic Orange Color Queen.  Some of you may remember it from the Ty/Cory Hanson acoustic pickathon video. REALLY looking forward to this album! Toned-down Ty is best Ty.

ATO (US) copy is a bright yellow. Flightless store seems to be down for the time being - so expect that up soon. Apparently first of 5 albums this year.

Earlier this year we started experimenting with a custom microtonal guitar our friend Zak made for Stu [Mackenzie]. The guitar was modified to play in 24-TET tuning and could only be played with other microtonal instruments. We ended up giving everyone a budget of $200 to buy instruments and turn them microtonal. The record features the modified electric guitars, basses, keyboards and harmonica as well as a turkish horn called a Zurna.

W-X reminds me of the first couple White Fence albums with zero of the rock influence. Not entirely what I was expecting but am still digging it. Tim Presley is the man.

I would much rather have a Eyes Like The Sky repress than infinite versions of this one. That isn't to say I won't be getting multiple copies of this album, but still. Looks like it is going to be Tri and US retail sunburst.

I'm sure you manage to watch a film or sports game with interruptions from the kids. This is no different.

Got an email from In The Red announcing the new WAND album Golem, which will be going up for pre order tomorrow (2/27) at 12PST. As per usual, the first 200 will be colored. For anyone not familiar, WAND sound like a hybrid Tame Impala/Ty Segall/Fuzz. The first album was released on Ty Segall's GOD? label.
 
 

I really enjoyed the first two, and will almost certainly enjoy this too. The 40 minutes of sonic exploration seems pretty interesting - does anyone know what its all about? Not sure if it makes the deluxe version worth it.
