  1. Yeah, I wish we had media mail here in Canada. It absolutely sucks shipping things here (or getting things shipped here) and Canada Post employees are always so grumpy. I almost want to move to the States just for the cheap shipping! The mark-up on Constellation releases at my local stores aren't that bad, but it would be awesome to get them for the prices they're charging on the website. I'm seeing Do Makes next week and will probably just pick up the albums I don't have at the show.
  2. This. I hope some of the reds make it over to North America. Been looking for a copy of this album forever too, just have to hunt down a copy of Threes (which I'm not a huge fan of musically, but ...the hobby!) Luckily I picked up Porcelain when it came out because I felt (and still do), that's it's their best. Wiretap is a great record too, though.
  3. I've got an extra Room On Fire for the Is This It? split colour if anyone wants to trade.
  4. Yup: http://exclaim.ca/Music/article/godspeed_you_black_emperor_to_curate_sled_island_2015
  5. Here's the list of tour dates: http://exclaim.ca/Music/article/death_grips_announce_north_american_tour
  6. The Pan's Labyrinth steelbook page is now up - release date is May 19: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/pan-s-labyrinth-future-shop-exclusive-mondo-x-steelbook-blu-ray/m2216644.aspx Will also trade this (or any of the other Canadian steelbooks) for anything in my want list!
  7. Is there a hype sticker or something that tells you if it's a coloured version or not? Want to pick this up on Tuesday, but would really prefer that variant over the black.
  8. Nice! I've gotten all of them so far and that Pan's Labyrinth looks sick. Willing to pick up some for you American peeps, as I did for the Drive steelbook. Preferably would like to trade if you have anything in my want list: http://boards.vinylcollective.com/topic/106791-wtblf-death-from-above-1979-metz-sloan-mars-volta-sparta-qotsa-mike-mccready-bloc-party/ They've taken it down, but here's the cached page: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:DdTuiObGKlgJ:www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/pan-s-labyrinth-future-shop-exclusive-mondo-x-steelbook-blu-ray/m2216644.aspx%3Fpath%3D34985c5eba60db8fdfd176c1df55b912en02+&cd=11&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=ca
  9. I hope some of those coloured variants make it to Canadian stores.
  10. For those in Canada, Futureshop is doing $5 off all Mondo steelbooks today only (discount will show up after you add to cart): http://www.futureshop.ca/Search/SearchResults.aspx?query=mondo+x+steelbook
  11. Order 1886 is coming: http://exclaim.ca/Music/article/soundtrack_for_order_1886_gets_vinyl_release
  12. Saw George's new project Dead Tired here in Toronto a couple weeks ago and they weren't bad, but you could see it was definitely a step down form AOF.
  13. Thanks for the clarification. Although I'm sure most people who are still waiting would have appreciated more communication if this was the case.
  14. They just posted this picture on their Instagram showing plenty of copies of GOTG being prepped for the pop-up shop next week, but still haven't shipped mine. That's just aggravating.
  15. Pearl Jam were hugely popular in the 90's, so it's understandable that they would still have a sizable fanbase now (they do a good job retaining that fanbase too). People who were into them back then and still into them now are likely in a demographic with more disposable income and can afford to pay the ridiculous prices their mid-career albums are going for now. It still boggles my mind that they haven't done a repressing of No Code through Avocado - there's so much money they're leaving on the table.
