Explosions in the Sky have been added as openers in Boston, NYC and DC. Bah, why couldn't that happen for the Toronto show?

Damn that's tempting if I hadn't already bought the album. Hopefully they'll sign mine after the show in Toronto (although the venue is terrible for that).

Yeah, I was there earlier today talking to Trevor about it. The higher than normal in-store prices are primarily due to the fact that he doesn't sell by volume like Sonic Boom/Kops/Rotate This/etc. He relies more on people seeking out rarities and niche stuff to cover his overhead costs. He isn't looking to expand either, so he's kind of limited in terms of sell/display space. Admittedly I've probably over-paid a bit for a couple rare things there, but the convenience factor alone makes up for it. He also runs Paper Bag Records, so he's got experience with e-commerce and thus why he launched the online shop. Personally, I'll stick with Rotate for new stuff as they usually have the lowest prices in town (I'd also give them the edge in terms of general used stuff too), but TRS isn't a bad alternative; especially for east-enders like me.

I grabbed a couple extras of TBP if anyone needs a copy. Can do local meet ups in Toronto or ship them if anyone wants to pay for shipping from Canada.

A white copy at $40 would be an unbelievably lucky find. Hell, even the pink reissue from a couple years ago at $40 would be decent at this point.

A local store just got some copies of YAWIAM. $18.99 at Kops Records in Toronto for anyone local.

They only had vinyl copies of the Physical World at the Oshawa show tonight. They strangely didn't even have the CD of YAWIAM (but had everything else on CD).

Spoke to the guys after the Oshawa show tonight and the new record is dropping early-mid May with probable touring to follow.

There's a bunch around Toronto/Hamilton, but the closest one that stocks vinyl is probably Buffalo.

They really need to start stocking vinyl at the Canadian locations.

My local shop just got restocked with the white version from Flemish Eye today, so they're starting to make their way back into stores.

Bummer, I wonder why they won't repress Heads Up? Maybe they've got something in the works. Unless there's legal stuff that needs to be worked out with Ache (who originally put out the EP), seems to me they're just leaving money on the table. Sidenote: Looking for a copy on clear if anyone has it!

Yup, currently at $0.78 (lowest it's been against the US dollar in six years). Definitely gonna curb my US purchases for a while.
