Sheesh. There's probably some stuff that I'll want.

Absolutely love the record, but haven't listened to the vinyl yet so no comment there. They don't deviate from their formula, it's structured exactly like their last few records (6-7 tracks, 3-4 bangers + 2 transitions + another one), but it is such a pleasure to listen to. Take my thoughts with a grain of salt, favorite band and all.

This is exactly how i feel. Loved guidance, liked blood year very much, and new song rips.

Excellent news. I feel like I enjoyed Blood Year more than a lot of folks were able to. Not quite up Guidance's quality, in my opinion, but still really good. I listened to a live version of Conduit about a month ago and thought it was great – can't wait to hear a studio take on it.

So excited for this one. Looks like deathwish has some of the mock-ups on their pre-order banner.

My intro to HxC was when I lived in Louisville, KY back in '88 or so. So I got into the midwest style of HxC. I honestly never cared much for the NYHC...especially the more "thugish" and DMS bands like Madball and whatnot. It's like...we get it...you're all reppin' NYC and the birthplace of NYHC. It's tired and silly to me.
But whatever. If people were that hard-up and starving for shows and felt like taking the risk at the show...by all means. It's your right and do whatever you want. But don't come at me calling me a "pussy" and whatnot b/c I'd rather err on the side of safety and well-being.
I haven't watched the video or at least the parts with JJ and Springa and whatever they may have said. All I know is that I had a semblance of respect for JJ and his discipline and being hardline for taking care of himself...but when he started railing against the science and being an anti-vaxxer and diminishing the reality of COVID and the pandemic...that was it for me. I was out.
To each their own I guess...but the hardcore scene has become a caricature of itself for a long while now.

I had actually kind of forgotten about this band until some kind soul on reddit posted that this album was available for PO. I likely would have missed out entirely and been bummed when I found out.

I'm in a similar boat, last thing I listened to was Let Go. I was surprised by the single and I had to check that this was the same band.

Who knows. All they do is post stupid tree photos every couple months on IG & literally every time people reply with “NeW aLbUm????!!!11” even though they’ve done that for like 5 years lol

WTF does that even mean? They didn't like the whole album and just because they aren't some fanboy you feel the need to put them down for an honest OPINION?

I must be a dweeb. Aside from Collapser, I'm not a fan. To say that, makes me really sad.

knowing the quality control at magic bullet, "Tetria" will definitely be how it appears on all 50 new variants.

Just wanted to chime in on my post-Post Fest thoughts heyoh.
First off the sound guy & lighting guys were absolutely perfect the entire weekend. No band could have possibly sounded nor looked better.
DAY 1
Au Revoir: One of my favs during Dunk 2017, & were as good or better this time around. They’re just so massive live. And the new stuff sounded amazing.
Shy Low: It’s funny that I got into them with Hiraeth & had an impression they were pretty chill. I know I’ve heard other stuff from them that was heavy, but hoped the set would be mixed. It was all pretty heavy. Not as good as Au Revoir but still really good.
Moira: Awesome new band to check out. Very chill & moody with a groove & amazing vocalist. Was a standout because of how unique their sound was relative to the other bands there.
Pray For Sound: Welp, my thoughts are the complete opposite of Gumbo. Sure, for what they are they sounded great, but I was so bored with them other than the opener, “Decayer”, which is the only song from ‘Dreamer’ played, which is the only album of theirs that did anything for me. Gumbo, I love ya, but best American PR band???? Better than Caspian & everyone else??
Lowercase Noises: As Gumbo said, dude wrote every song played a MONTH before this fest. Insane. Especially with how good they all sounded. I had minimal experience with this band before & had only listened to really chill/ambient stuff. First half of the set continued that but then the last couple songs were ramped WAY up in intensity & were incredible. Ears open for whenever this album/EP gets released.
Ranges: *sigh*. Again, sounded great, but it all just blends together. Made it only about halfway through because of how late everything was running. I can tolerate these guys a song or two at a time, but that’s it 🤷♂️.

THAT WAS ME I TAKE ALL CREDIT 😉. Sometimes I think no one else loves the bands I REALLY love so I’m glad to hear how much you’re digging. Their new one is in my top 5 of the year for sure.
I get to see them today at Post Fest & I’m so jacked!

Warning: APPRECIATION POST
I just want to take this opportunity to thank whoever posted the Spotlights link in here a month or so ago. You deserve a gold star for it because it is wicked awesome. I've been listening to it a lot and I think it has staying power for me.It strikes the perfect balance between heavy (guitar) and gaze (vocals). It's recommendations like these that keep me coming back, because there is no way I would have found it otherwise. So, a general thanks for all those who post and continue to post new bands.

Ranges aesthetics > Ranges songs 🤷♂️
Thought they would push themselves on this new one but it’s literally The Ascensionist Pt 2 which was already generic af. Very safe post-rock.
At least it sounds like Ranges & they have a bit of a distinctive flair, unlike Pillars.

One of their best I think. I'm always scared they are going to go in a direction that I can't get behind, but this is alway unfounded. The end of the record is simply incredible, those riffs!!
