  1. I really hope this is true, I would buy the shit out of that! *Edit* The piebald box that is.
  2. This! Eraserhead is easily one of my favorite movies. If you have the dvd watch the hour and a half interview with David Lynch on it. It's an awesome companion piece.
  3. Not to keep going over the same things over and over again. Also I'm not opening this thread with intent to start bashing virgil but thought people might want to see this interview with Virgil about how he runs his business. http://www.practicalecommerce.com/articles/2506-Lessons-Learned-Virgil-Dickerson-with-Suburban-Home-Records
  4. Well I was just on the site and everything is still up there. Perhaps you accidentally clicked on "collector's vinyl" instead of just vinyl http://store.sstsuperstore.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=E&Category_Code=Vinyl
  5. So I got my copy of the complete series on dvd and have been rewatching the entire series (for the second time this year, I had terrible quality tv rips before). I've decided this is without a doubt my favorite tv show ever. Anyone here watch it? The complete Series was an amazing purchase. 17 discs for $100.
  6. I'm very happy about this news. These guys deserve freedom. I heard they are working on a part three of the paradise lost documentaries. Anyone still think it's crazy that John Mark Byres is actually on their side now?
  7. THIS! I'm listening to Bone Machine right now and I really wish it was on my turntable not my ipod.
  8. If I was ever going to buy a bobblehead it would be that keith morris one. It's tempting but I think I'll pass... for now at least. So everywhere I see it the first ep says it comes with a Raymond Petibon poster, but I can't find if the boxset also includes the poster. Anyone have any idea?
  9. We are taking it easy on the rest of the catalog. That will be two weeks from now. With Social Distortion. And then there's Tom Waits. Converge. Grinderman. I think that's it. Any clues as to what the Tom Waits stuff is? If it's any of the following; Bone Machine, Night On Eart, or the black rider I'm going to beyond excited.
  10. This has a vinyl release already, looks like it might be all sold out but they pop up on e-bay all the time for cheap. someone on amazon is selling it for $60 http://www.amazon.com/Nothing-Makes-Sens....5508284&sr=1 -2 That being said I would press kind of like spitting $100 room
  11. In case people forgot or haven't heard there is a Roots with john legend live video stream tonight. It's directed by fucking SPIKE LEE!! (big spike lee fanboy here, just bought the Do the right thing bluray tonight even thugh i already have the criterion dvd). Here's hoping they play some roots songs not just stuff off of the album with John Legend (which I haven't heard yet). *edit* here's the link, it starts at 9 http://www.youtube.com/johnlegendVEVO
  12. This was a great interview. Also turns out there is an All Star Superman animated movie coming out. http://www.aintitcool.com/node/46570
  13. I'm missing everything by them. Ideally I'd like to buy multiple 7"s from one person to save on shipping to Canada.
  14. Hey I'd really like to get a complete Tune for bears to dance to collection, anyone on here have an they want part with? Also I'm looking for the Kind of Like Spitting/Rose of Sharon split and any tapes or less common cds from kind of like spitting.
  15. Got my copy on red last week the shirt is also amazing and fits great! This was worth the wait for sure. Sounds so good!
  16. Alright, I've been debating this for a while but I haven't listened to it in a while and I think it's time to sell it. I have a copy of Andrew W.K.'s I Get Wet on vinyl that I'm willing to part with. Throw me some offers.
  17. My girlfriend and I watched it and both thought you ere funny. We have a couple of criticisms which you seem very welcoming of. You're pacing is a bit off. You need to kind of relax and take breaths at points it seemed you just wanted to tell your jokes and get off stage, I'm sure some of that is nerves as you've only done it a handful of times. Your set ups are a little long. Sometimes there is no way around this but maybe throwing in another small joke or two during the setup could help that. Again though we thought you were great, I'm just being picky because I feel that you want to hear this stuff.
  18. I just started Y the last man, read the first trade which was awesome. I'm starting Grant Morrison's x-men run. I also just ordered the astonishing x-men omnibus by Joss Whedon for $50
  19. If you're looking for a china goo for wuhan they are cheap and sound awesome. I've heard their crashes were pretty bad but have since gotten better. Worth checking out because their cymbals are so cheap.
  20. Alright so I used to have this punk comp cd. I'm not 100% sure what it was called but I believe it was called "You're only as good as the last great thing you've done". I can't remember the label or even the bands on it (Although I think it had, Mr. T Experience, Satanic Surfers and lacuna coil on it, but I'm not 100% sure and I've googled their discographies). I've tried googleing this all week and it's driving me crazy. I think the cover was green or purple and it had someone breaking into a museum and stealing a painting of a dog or a cat. I remember the cover was drawn and not the best, could have been in ms paint. Does this ring any bells to anyone?
  21. I feel like my point was kind of missed. Bonnaroo, I would still consider a hippie festival in spite of (or perhaps because of even) the varied lineup. Depending on your definition of the term hippie. I personally don't think that a hippie festival has to be just jam bands playing for hours on end. It has to do with the politics of the show. Bonnaroo definitely comes off as a hippie festival to me (I was there in 2006 and yes there was a great lineup). They do encourage being more environmentally conscious as well as a general kind of a feeling of peace and love. I was also offered any drug I've ever heard of. Granted it's not burning man but still I consider it at least somewhat of a hippie festival. I recall Bonnaroo tickets being around $250 each and I'm pretty sure it holds 80,000 people and sold out the year I went. That's $20,000,000 which is quite a lot of money. Granted something on the scale of bonnaroo has a lot more going on and therefore has a lot more overhead costs but even so. My point was I feel like they could either, charge a lot more for this Juggalo gathering or have corporate sponsors or both. I'm sure a lot of those acts charge a decent amount and 1.5 million really isn't that much as I'm sure there is a fair amount of overheads for this as well. I am sure that the bands and organizers and anyone involved do walk off with an ok amount of money though.
  22. I can't believe my girlfriend and I watched that entire video. It is fucking hilarious. The one thing I will say about this though is that it's really cool there are no corporate sponsors The obvious joke is they couldn't get any but let's face it I'm sure they could. I looked into the ticket and it's only $150, which if you were a Juggalo might be a lot of money. But considering this is a 4 day festival with no corporate sponsorship that's really cheap. Also considering some of those groups (for instance Method Man and Redman) probably aren't cheap. Here's a list of this years bonnaroo sponsors http://www.bonnaroo.com/Partners.aspx ford, budwiser, cannon, garnier fructis etc. considering that is a hippie festival and they have some massive sponsors. However I'd rather spend 4 days in intensive care then go to this show.
  23. I think this is a great idea, sharing digital mixes. I'll make one this weekend and post and other people should do the same. I'd especially like Juan to make one, I can imagine there would be some awesome stuff on it.
