  2. there aren't a ton of options in Vancouver but there are a few pretty good stores: Neptoon & Red Cat are the best and they're in the same general area. You might run into Nardwuar at Neptoon. Zulu used to be pretty good but it seems like the store was shrunk to half the size it used to be since covid. Audiopile (not audiophile) was alright but I haven't been there in years. Beat Street is good for hiphop stuff. Elevated Music is a pretty new store in Colverdale, but that's a bit of a drive out of Vancouver.

avoid: Vinyl Records. overpriced and the staff are asses.

the only one not digging the song immediately? It kinda seemed like generic parts of ETID and DEP slapped together. I kinda like some moments of calm in my ETID songs. This one was kinda go-go-go. I kinda spaced out and wanted it over half way.

I'm never really been a fan of Greg, I lost interest in DEP after he joined, and he pales in comparison to Keith over farily typical ETiD riffs. I'll have to give the song a couple more spins and see what the rest of the album is like, but I don't really feel any sort of way about the track.

I think I first noticed something seemed a little fucky when a recent Cake repress went up. Was something like $25 on the American site, then it auto redirected to Canadian and the price shot to about $40. Was like.. that conversion doesn't sound right. So I checked both sites for shipping, American was $12 or so and Canadian was $20. So greasy.

Now I always check, and it's always cheaper to not use the "convenient" Canadian site.

records are just so overpriced these days and shipping doesn't help at all. As much as I like this album, I haven't listened to it in over a decade and a single LP isn't worth $48 with another $20 shipping on top. And switching to the US site doesn't really bring it down a whole lot either. If it was $25 I'd be all over it. Can't really avoid the stupid shipping cost either way unless you have a US address.
