  1. Funny, I remember people bitching about the pre-order price of the Frozen set as well for $74.99 + shipping. Granted that set has come down a bit, but good luck finding it for less than $100. Nobody ever claimed that being a Disney collector is a cheap hobby ,nor should it be with the secondary prices that these limited Disney sets can fetch. $340 for 16 records comes out to $21.25 apiece, which is very reasonable IMO. Not to mention the free Skeleton Dance single and Digital Copy of the entire set, both will be highly sought after in their own regard.

This set is not for everybody, but there will be A LOT of demand for it. Hell, the out-of-print DVD's go for over $150 apiece....

Til the vinyl bubble bursts. Go into a goodwill and you can find the entire Disney filmography on VHS. Or hell, flip through the records, you'll find a bunch of old Disney soundtracks.

    Wanna buy some beanie babies?

  2. I was only here because the pokemon art didn't look very good, but I'm staying because annefrankzappa came here in here with all this, "fuck the haters," and "you can't draw better" garbage. So to summarize, his talk is as mature as his drawing.

So, okay, you want to tell me I can't do better than you? Okay, says the guy whose instagram and etsy are filled with properties, characters, and catchphrases that you didn't create. You're selling music you didn't create, with covers inspired by something else you didn't create. I don't care about the legal, ethical, or moral aspects of this, but it says a lot about you as an "artist."

  3. I've gotta say, I'm not really digging the fact that all of the covers this guy has for his presses are nods to completely random classic albums. I guess I just don't get it. Just because the music is on vinyl, and music on vinyl is typically like... regular albums... so... we'll design the covers like famous albums.....

Yyyeeeeaaahhh I dunno, I'd rather he just makes a classy and simple design that fits the tone of the game. Like, if I owned that Castlevania soundtrack, it would just be awkward to me that the cover spoofs London Calling. Like... why? What's the connection to that album in particular? Why London Calling? Couldn't it at least be an album that has some sort of marginal connection to the source material?

It makes me feel like the Pokemon soundtrack should be beatles-styled pokemon covers, castlemania should be punk-styled castlevania covers, zelda should be pink floyd-style zelda tracks... but no. It's just... because "HEY I RECOGNIZE THAT!"

Pretty spot on. The Pokemon one is probably the worst one. It really highlights how mediocre the guy is at drawing.
