There is new track from ITTCT coming Feb 8th. I wasn't big fan of last record, maybe I didn't give it enough spins, but happy to see they are still around. Excited!

dude, you should really go back and revisit.  I didn't like it at first, but now, I think it may be their strongest effort.  The production is tremendous, and the songs are all so, so solid.

I know it's impossible to compete with when you first heard Red Forest and ATEBTS but man, Bones is fucking killer.

I hope that their remark on vinyl pertains to both SOS and C:D .  If Evpatoria can press Golevka, there’s no reason why Jakob couldn’t make these 2 classics happen.

I'm trying, man.  The vinyl connect I was negotiating was initially only interested in Cale:Drew and Solace, but I'm hoping they'll be interested enough to do Subsets too.

This is literally my #1 mission in life before i die, to make this happen and connect the right people.

It's not like Jakob has a single weak song in their entire catalog, but that set list is pure lust

  3. Unofficial official update:

    Jakob setlist 12/9:

    Blind Them With Science

    Magna Carta

    Pneumonic

    Lonesome

    Jimmy Hoffa

The Diffusion of our Inherent Situation

    Aural

    I'm On Your Side

    ReWild - NEW SONG

    Consonance - NEW SONG

THREE songs from Subsets!  and TWO from Cale:Drew!

    More:

"Going to add Malachite for tonight's set at our hometown gig"

"No Recordings yet but may have something for people to listen to early next year"

"Yeah, those Subsets songs are great, forgot how good they are to be honest.  We'll get onto the vinyl thing when we're close to having this album finished."

From Jeff Boyle (Guitar).  He's so gracious and chill.  Really, really friendly dude.

I was hopping between the old tracks and the newly remastered tracks on Youtube. Can't say that I agree with that assessment (though clearly Youtube quality for tracks that were posted 10 years ago can be questionable). The only difference I was hearing is the new version sounds more polished. The old version has this static-ness over the music, almost like a lo-fi vibe. The remaster takes that away. (Sorry, not a seasoned music reviewer so that's the best way I can describe it.) Either way, not enough of a difference for a double dip on this one for me. Seems the few reviews that are posted on Discogs confirms the same; minimal difference to the OG press.

My biggest take-away is that this new master has a significantly lower bass response.  It's like they clipped out the low end, which I think is what gives it a cleaner overall presentation.  It's fine, it's really not that different at all to me tho haha.  i'm not sure the lay person would be able to tell the difference.

Got CLOBBERED at their show in Boston to get the tour variant tho.  All the Deafheaven shows I'd seen before were energetic, but in a "Lets all stand here and groove with our bodies" kind of way.  Boston was stage-dive city and I got a concussion from having 2 folks land square on my head.  It was like I was seeing Earth Crisis lol.

  5. Hey friends!  So, this is a crazy thing - our band is doing our latest record on vinyl.  I figured what the hell, I'll share it here.  It's limited to 100 copies, 25 of which able to come as a deluxe edition with an alternate screen-printed cover.  The records will be pressed by Dunk! Pressing in Belgium on Milky Clear with Rainbow Splatter, and the screen print is being done by A Thousand Arms.  So, all the post-rock connections haha.

We only have 8 of the deluxe editions left for purchase.  You can check it all

Glass Pony plays psychedelic, improvisational rock and roll.  We have big influences from Oasis, Phish, Bright Eyes, Moe, the Cure, etc.  We're a "jamband" but I don't quite think we fit the traditional mold of that.  I am a big post-rock and metal guy, so our jams, while groovy and danceable, are often angsty and dark.

You can check out some tunes here:

Seeing Caspian for the first time and Envy for the fourth time next month in Malaysia. Not sure why I can’t attach the show flyer but so excited for this double bill.

enjoy the show, super jealous of anyone who's been able to see Envy.  Caspian is mighty too!  Will be a legendary show.

@abovetheearth gifted me the lone 3 digital tracks years ago from Ozean. The world is not yet full enough of this type of ethereal dreamy pop for me, but somehow I missed Moon Sounds Records vinyl treatment in 2017. It appears that the 12"  (/150 Black  /150 Blue) are going for moon money on discogs,  with a 55 have to 555 want ratio for this unknown, teenage ephemeral band.

Numero records has picked up their 'catalog' and says a 12" will be forthcoming in 2024. I will try to not to miss out this time.

    Ozean digital tracks on bandcamp

Numero records digital release of 2 tracks + likely place for PO next year

    holy crap this is amazing!!!

you can hear the tape warble from the cassette source there in the middle song haha

Yeah, I didn't realize the red/black was 900. I actually went ahead and grabbed a copy because who needs food anyway.

Not yet. Actually, I don't think I've checked out anything from SWBAD since Canopy (which is great).  I have some catching up to do.

DO IT.  I have a couple extras I got for people, because it sold out and the label is folding.  So if you like it, one of them can be yours for cost!

It's got an old song from the Canopy era too, "Architeuthis".  So good!
