  1. Grabbed that /300. Passed on the 7". I rarely buy 7" records anymore (just don't listen to them enough), especially $8 7" records.
  2. Another interesting way to do it is going through Apple's "upgrade" program. Basically you pay monthly for the phone and after 12 payments you can hand them back the phone and get the new iPhone (which comes out every year), and continue with the payments. If you choose to pay it in full (24 payments) the phone is your's to keep. They do make you purchase Apple Care as part of the deal. I have a 64GB 6s and it is about $36/month for the phone. I use my phone a lot both for wasting my time and for work (and it is a write of me) so I think just over a dollar a day to have a brand new iPhone every year is a pretty decent deal. My wife has an iPhone 6 that we purchased through AT&T's Next program (before the Apple Upgrade program existed), which is very similar to Apple's program, but the trade in is at 18 months (or payoff and keep it at 24 months). People still seem upset/confused with the current state of cell service providers and subsidized phones. Basically if you were getting a subsidized phone every 2 years (and you ALWAYS upgrade at 2 years) the old system wasn't necessarily bad for you. It was however awful for the person that wants to hang on to a phone for several years. That person is greatly rewarded with these current plans (because you are no longer paying for the phone subsidy in your plan). You are free to buy any phone you want, any where you want, and keep it for however long you want.
  3. @coolcough - mostly records, sometimes my toddler
  4. Spurv from Tigernet is $26.63 to your door in the US without doing the group buy. Seems like it might be better for people to just buy it themselves if the group buy price is 28ppd (since it is less expensive and a lot less work). Not trying to be a jerk, just something I noticed.
  5. If you order a bunch of records it makes sense. If you are only going to order a few records it is a bummer. I try to wait until I have a ton of shit to buy and place a large order with them. Makes the shipping no big deal. I have to pay tax as well...and it is STILL a great deal when it is all said and done.
  6. For anyone who has been working through the first few chapters, any thoughts? What would be your soundtrack to the film version of this book? Finished this today.
  7. Damn missed that purple! Can't wait to hear the whole LP.
  8. Did we ever find out what variant of IV the band has? If it is the black variant I am going to keep holding out...I will grab it on sale somewhere stateside at some point.
  9. I just got a bunch of the records I ordered from Gohastings from the last 30% off coupon. They shipped everything like shit. It has been a while since they have done that to me. The Johnny Cash boxset was taped between two pieces of cardboard and had a label slapped on it, that was it. Surprisingly it showed up in good shape, just one nice ding. Got a copy of Pink Floyd's 'Division Bell' which was opened (not a huge deal) and has severs sleeve damage from living in a store. (About half of the records I ordered were in pretty rough shaped externally). I am not going to bother complaining. 30% already good prices is worth some messed up sleeves (for me). I would rather have these records with some sleeve damage than send them back for a refund (I think a lot of them are out of stock for shipping now so replacement isn't likely an option).
  10. I have it on my Kindle and will get going as soon as I finish the book I am currently reading.
  11. Shipping in California is only $7.70 for Priority, which isn't too bad. However, add in 9% tax on top of a $20 price (which is awful for a single LP, sorry) and the total is still $30 ppd for a single LP. Going to wait it out and hope it pops up elsewhere. Fuck vinyl prices.
  12. It is purge time again. Just updated my for sale list. My prices are based off of Discogs pricing...in almost all cases I have priced my records at or below the lowest current pricing on Discogs (in case you were curious about how the I arrived at these prices). Shipping will be a flat $4.50 within the USA (Media Mail with tracking). Outside the USA I will have to calculate by weight on the USPS site and give you a price. I am very quick to respond typically (I do have a toddler who can sometimes alter the course of my day). I will ship records at least twice a week or more (I don't want to head to the Post Office everyday but I do want to get you your records...because lets face it, getting records in the mail is awesome). If you have any further questions please let me know. 13. Already have I, II, and III. I am interested in IV if the copies from overseas are in fact the green variant.
  14. I grabbed If Wolves from I Corrupt with another LP since it is flat 10 euro shipping to the US. Take me off the If Wolves list, but I would like to get a copy of Kokomo S/T LP with this group buy. Thanks!
  15. Bummed I missed the deadline! If there is any chance I can get on this list, I would love to. Thanks!
