  1. My two records also turned up earlier this week, even though I received a full refund. As I said in a previous post, I normally wouldn't want a freebie, that came via an error from a small label, but on this occasion, I will most definitely take it and have a good laugh at their (his) total incompetence (although, as the last post said, it's quite likely that they didn't get hit too hard on most of the refunds (mine was processed via my bank) - I definitely had zero trust in the 'label' and actually getting my money back directly from them). Now I have the vinyl, I wonder when my guitar will be shipping?
  2. Definitely in for this, although most of the pre-order links on the Constellation site are broken (for USA) and the sites they list don't show anything up when manually searching? Could just be me doing a user-error though.
  3. So he posted the pic a week ago and said they were shipping... Has anyone received anything?!
  4. I'm still getting the email updates, even though I cancelled. I usually wouldn't want an accidentally-free record from a small label/store, but due to the next-level bs he's been feeding us for 18 months, here's hoping his awful business admin leads to it happening (although I highly doubt ANYONE will be getting one).
  5. Damn, I've been holding off listening to the whole thing, but was excited after the first two singles. I wasn't expecting it to be amazing, but still hoped deep-down (in that wholly unrealistic part of my brain) for something potentially in the ballpark of AAW's standards... Oh well
  6. Totally agree with this. I feel like it would have worked best if SN released before OG did... After Slow Burn, it just doesn't have the same impact (for me at least). Yes, I know both albums have totally different styles and aims, but I can't help making a link between them each time I listen, and feel as though YNA_AYT just doesn't have the same attitude, charisma and longevity as Slow Burn, which, when I find myself thinking it, does make me feel kinda off because SN have put out a really decent album here... Unfortunately though, it just doesn't reach the heights of Slow Burn.
  7. Got my silver from Rough Trade today... Looking forwards to giving it a spin tomorrow - will update if there are any sound issues.
  8. Picked up the marbled version... Absolutely loving "Amsterdam"
  9. How was the performance? I saw them a couple of months back and thought they were amazing. Also got to chat with Evan for a while... Really nice guy.
  10. Held off listening to any of this until receiving the vinyl, which I got today. Can't wait to give it a spin tomorrow... Have read some really positive reviews, so far.
  11. Received my signed vinyl on Friday... Sounds awesome, although the green marbling definitely isn't as defined as the pictures make it appear... It still looks really nice though, imho. Really top album... Worth a listen if you're into this kinda stuff.
  12. Ditto re: still receiving emails; cancelled mine and got a full refund from my bank (though, given his other business skills (or distinct lack of), I suppose it's a bit much to ask for him keep distro lists up-to-date!). Have contacted the guy multiple times through FB and email - zero replies (unsurprisingly). If the records ever do materialise, it will be beyond miraculous.
  13. PO on Merge Records - Standard LP / Deluxe 2 LP / 2 LP + CD + Postcards, out July 14th: https://www.mergerecords.com/out-in-the-storm Out in the Storm, Katie Crutchfield’s fourth album as Waxahatchee and the follow-up to her Merge debut Ivy Tripp, is the blazing result of a woman reawakened. Her most autobiographical and honest album to date, Out in the Storm is a self-reflective anchor in the story of both her songwriting and her life. The album was tracked at Miner Street Recordings in Philadelphia with John Agnello, a producer, recording engineer, and mixer known for working with some of the most iconic musicians of the last 25 years, including Dinosaur Jr. and Sonic Youth. Agnello and Crutchfield worked together for most of December 2016, along with the band: sister Allison Crutchfield on keyboards and percussion, Katherine Simonetti on bass, and Ashley Arnwine on drums; Katie Harkin, touring guitarist with Sleater-Kinney, also contributed lead guitar. At Agnello’s suggestion, the group recorded most of the music live to enhance their unity in a way that gives the album a fuller sound compared to past releases, resulting in one of Waxahatchee’s most guitar-driven releases to date. * * * CD - 12-page booklet with full lyrics and photos - uncoated stock digipak with silver foil details LP (Standard) - album on black vinyl - 12" × 24" poster insert with a portrait of Katie Crutchfield on one side and full lyrics on the other - uncoated stock jacket with silver foil details - full download Deluxe 2-LP (Limited edition) - album on black vinyl - exclusive bonus LP of demo versions of the entire album on cloud white vinyl - 12" × 24" poster of Katie Crutchfield - gatefold jacket with full lyrics and silver foil details - full download of album and demo versions 2-LP + CD + Postcards (all items will ship together to arrive on or around July 14 release date) - CD and deluxe 2-LP formats as detailed above - set of six postcards featuring exclusive photos and album lyrics selected by Katie TRACK/SONG TITLE ARTIST DURATION Never Been Wrong Waxahatchee 3:12 8 Ball Waxahatchee 2:49 Silver Waxahatchee 3:24 Recite Remorse Waxahatchee 4:38 Sparks Fly Waxahatchee 3:06 Brass Beam Waxahatchee 2:42 Hear You Waxahatchee 3:01 A Little More Waxahatchee 2:32 No Question Waxahatchee 3:38 Fade Waxahatchee 3:47
  14. Really digging the new track. Not enough songs have binary lyrics.
  15. Got mine... Really happy... Thanks for the bonus candy, guys!
  16. Argh, I was holding off any more purchases before payday... Can't imagine this is going to be a tiny run, so I will wait it out for a couple of weeks. But yeah, I hadn't heard anything about this release either!
  17. Got my BSM order today (clear w/ blue and beer splatter). Will open up and give it a spin later, once I'm done with work.
  18. Yes... Actually hesitated for a few days, so I was pretty fortunate, I think!
