  1. Got mine earlier this week... Had a full play through yesterday evening. Everything looks and sounds fantastic IMHO - no splits in sleeves, no marks / defects on the vinyl... Nothing whatsoever that I could be negative about really (had also read the negatives online from other people). Really nice package, all in all. Hope everyone else has the same experience.
  2. Tried to source more details about their 'store' but can't seem to find any physical address or company info. Are they totally bogus?! EDIT: did manage to find an address - looks like it's based in a residential property (owner is David F. Elliott), details here.
  3. Well their last official email was right at the start of October, which stated they'd have everything sent out in a month's time. Surprise, surprise, nothing received yet and no notifications of shipping. Is it time to report the transactions to my bank so I can attempt a refund?!
  4. Wow, I never realised that a lot of the first press cover art included creases, tears and many coffee stains. Learn something new every day. Thanks Vinyl Rocks, you're the best!
  5. I hear you on that! No problem - just thought I'd ask... Have a good one
  6. Hey, re-read through the posts and saw your reply... Somehow missed it first time around. Not sure if you'd be interested in combining shipping (or if it would be worth it on only two albums)? I'm also in London, so would be pretty easy to arrange if the price was right.
  7. Thanks, but unfortunately I am in the UK, otherwise i'd definitely sign up. EDIT: I can sometimes get stuff sent to a US friend who comes to the UK a few times per year... Will see if I can arrange something!
  8. Want this but the shipping pushes the price up close to £35
  9. Got my copy through yesterday. Sounds and looks really nice! Signed print came out great too Album is a little up and down for me - some really great tracks and some that fall a little short.
  10. Got my copy through (/150) and yes, the mailer is a BEAST! I felt like I needed some kind of engineering degree to even get through that mutha The packaging and vinyl look AWESOME. Undoubtably one of the nicest sleeve / vinyl combos I own. Very happy! Will post some pics later if I have time and also update on how it sounds.
  11. Can't decide if the two tracks on their Bandcamp are off on an amazing new tangent or are just basically trying far too hard to be different.
  12. Same. Listened quite a few times now and really into it. Hard to get ultra hyped with only one track to go from, but it's a good one to start us off.
  13. Anyone else tried to order both the Dog Knights versions? The bundle of both variants is gone but the individuals of each are still listed, although whenever I try to add the splatter to the cart it tells me I've added the solid blue again, but under two separate entries (rather than just changing the blue quantity from 1 to 2)... Weird.
  14. Hopefully this hasn't been mentioned before (apologies if it has)... Ekca Liena - Slow Music For Rapid Eye Movement is being released on vinyl for the first time. I'm pretty new to the ambient/drone etc. party, but this one caught my eye (and ear) after reading about and listening to it a few days ago.
  15. Yes, the shadow idea is definitely a good one. You changed my perspective in one sentence there.
  16. Got my black / easter yellow this morning... Will be giving it a spin a bit later today. Looks good, although the edit to the description on the Relapse site which states: *Appears Dark Yellow Inside of Easter Yellow* is definitely accurate. It's more of a light-black-grey-yellow-sludge colour, rather than dark black. Personally, I think it still looks fine, but it would have been even better had the black been more vibrant. Just my opinion though
  17. Yeah, I love the album - have had a few listens on Spotify. Will let you know how the vinyl plays once I get it... Fingers crossed it's as good as it looks!
  18. My copy is on the way. Got one of the /150s... Shipping was pretty steep but not too crazy given that the actual album was really reasonable. About £30 total... Happy with that
  19. I agree. Pretty much the only people I have encountered who know DJ Shadow (and have heard of / listened to Endtroducing) are hardcore music fans and enthusiasts. Yes, it is a 'must-hear' but it's hard to realise that it's a must hear, and to even discover it in the first place, when it isn't THAT well known in the general population (and it really isn't IMHO). Also, I think anyone who is big into music can say that at some point in their life they have had a moment where they've had to hold up their hands and say 'wow, how the hell did I miss / not know about this album before now?!?!'. Only my 2 cents worth... Peace to everyone
  20. No surprise whatsoever that they're going to milk the single vol. releases for all they're worth. Def holding out for the box next year.
  21. Got a shipping notification from Rough Trade for the Black / Easter version of RR7349. Can't wait for it to arrive!
  22. Over $100 already with 4 days still to go... Not sure my bank balance can stretch that far right now, unfortunately. Enjoy, whoever wins it!
