That sucks about Amazon. They def had the best price on this. I'm pretty sure it was close to $35-40 shipped to me from the Bandcamp page, which I wasn't thrilled with paying, but I surefire needed this record (and a FLAC download), so wanted to grab from the source. The Discogs prices really aren't that bad yet, considering.. Got it in last week btw. Kind of a standard cheap jacket and sleeve packaging job for the price, and it was dinged up on a couple corners, but it looks and sounds good enough! Glad to have gotten a copy!

Not true. It's never been available to just buy in the store. It was only available for swaps this month and pretty sure they ran out before swaps ended.

I feel like half of that stuff was already released on cassette. Are these, like, diff variants? Pharoah Sanders tape sounds neat, but otherwise, what a stinker of a list. I checked out CSD the last couple years at the biggest local store around (RSD is huge there, line down the block, etc) and there's never ANY demand. They even get most of the releases in and the store just looks dead like a regular Saturday morning. Don't know if it's different elsewhere, but I'm kinda surprised they're still trying to do this.

Just completely randomly got this from Mexican Summer in the mail. I'm positive I didn't order it. Even double checked for a receipt. So stoked. Anybody wanna buy my copy of the standard version? It has paper scuffs and a fingerprint on it (how it was when I opened it), but it sounds awesome.

The only censored lyrics on the original and remastered releases are "pregnant" and "strangled" in "Gimme the Loot" and "Blue suits" in "Machine Gun Funk", but like I said, they were always censored on the official releases. "World Trade" may have been censored on subsequent reissues that I haven't heard, but as far as I've seen isn't on the VMP reissue. The samples are a big deal because they were omitted on the remaster after 10 years of listening to the original version with the original artwork, so it was off-putting, and has been that way since 2004. Not sure how VMP pulled this off, honestly. Might be one of the reasons they were being so coy about the original samples during the lead-up to this release.

The 3 lyrics in question were always censored on official releases (including the original 1994 ones). Not sure why everyone is worried about that so much. The samples being in tact are a way bigger deal.

Bummed about missing Noname. Signed back up to get on the waiting list, but not in time, I guess. Still on the waiting list for Common, but I'm not really into that album (would way rather have gotten Phrenology from that year). I still want a spot in the sub though, so I'm slightly conflicted. Really hoping they announce the third month soon and it's a homerun. Got Biggie and new WOD on the way though. And planning to spend a dumb amount in the store later this month. Excited to see what the last few exclusives will be. There's apparently going to be 10 total this month!

My copy was taped shut on 3 ends, Amazon inspection stickers all over the back of the book and the CD was just flopping around on the inside, scratched to fuck. Was labeled "Like new".

Don't buy Narkopop from the warehouse. Bad experience.
