Our imprint label CHAMBER 38 has now opened with the debut LP from OSCOB, "Eating Yourself Alive." This imprint will allow us to release a wider variety of experimental music like plunderphonic,  cloud rap,  noise, glitch, vaporwave,  metal, etc - without compromising the consistency of the BLUD releases, which will remain hypnagogic synth. Okay, so my first post was fairly obvious and didn't really need to be said.  Whatever.  I'm not pro-Trump in the least, but this whole thing oozes with political frustrations in the form of low-hanging fruit disguised as a grind track.  Would've been cool to see some actual thought put into it aside from a list of track titles tried-and-true jabs at Trump.
 
Maybe I'm just ranting because this whole past month has been a cluster-fuck that I prefer to keep as isolated from music as I can, since it's one of my few solaces. Whatever the case, I'm pretty disappointed to see that not even a fraction of this project's proceeds appear to be going to Planned Parenthood or something similar.  Which leads me to my first post, above.

IN OTHER NEWS I just approved the test presses on my very first video game vinyl soundtrack release! I'm honest to god stoked about this one - I think y'all are going to really like it. And if it's not a flop, there's a whole lot more in the pipeline. I'll keep you updated but I think we're going to announce on Monday.

The other wrinkle to dialogue these days...what do we mean by "prove it"?
 
Do we mean "prove it in a way that most critical thinking adults would understand" or "prove it to me"?  
 
If it's the former, the 'strength' or 'weakness' of someone's argument is independent of whether the other party accepts/acknowledges/understands it as strong or weak. You can argue that XYZ is a racist and the person you are arguing with can say "That's a weak argument/you didn't successfully prove it" and it would not alter the strength or weakness of your argument; it would ultimately be up to the other person to respond with a counter-argument.  
 
If it's the latter, there becomes an unspoken agreement that your argument is only as strong or weak as the opposing party says it is. Your argument's strength or weakness is determined not by the evidence or support you provide but by the reaction that the other party gives your argument. In my opinion, A LOT of recent Trump-related arguing falls into this latter category. Instead of actually counter-arguing, we can now outright dismiss arguments with a flippant eye-roll, a copy-and-paste meme, or by ramping up the extremity of tone/opinion to the point of distraction (a good example would be calling another poster a rapist to make a point and garner a strong reaction). I think this is true for both sides, however, I believe one side does it out of laziness and lack of controlling our emotions and one side uses this argument style as a deliberate offensive playbook.

What about all of the terribly corrupt republicans that he is seemingly filling his cabinet with? How is he draining the swamp with establishment republicans? What 4-D chess is Trump playing?

I'm going to put this show on pause. It's not the worst thing by any stretch of the imagination, but I just can't imagine watching this for another 5-plus years at the moment. It's such a vicious slog and it's so mean-spirited devoid of really well-written characters to suffer through it all. Plus, it's not really building up to any kind of "end goal" since it's a money machine so it's not like these two deaths really amount to anything other than shock and awe. 
 
I'll be breaking until a final season is announced. Glad every one else liked it, though.

I remember sitting there with my iPod earbuds in listening to birds chirping for five minutes on Francis the Mute thinking how great my tastes were in gym class hahaha.

Just because you play an instrument doesn't mean you can't focus on vocals or emotions.  And don't assume other people here don't also play instruments - especially because they're talking about the emotions or feelings of a record...
 
Also, the critiques I've heard so far about this album have not made me think "these guys are probably musicians" nor does the praise.  
 
I will say that knowing how to play instruments definitely makes you more aware of instrumentation but don't tout it like you have inside knowledge of why something isn't good.  That IS pretentious.

She hasn't accused Melania of infidelity, used a Pee Wee Herman "I'm rubber, you're glue" retort, used the words 'big league', made the moderator laugh in disbelief with weird 4-year-old-kid interjections, or blamed everything on Obama and herself.  She's losing big league. *sniff*
