  1. As far as I know. For whatever reason, though, this showed up on my doorstep yesterday. The album art is gorgeous, but - to my eyes - it appears as if it wasn't printed with the utmost quality. Could definitely be a little crisper, but maybe I'm being nit-picky. The 180 gram vinyl sounds mighty great, though.
  2. The $25.00 pricetag on the deluxe would have been justifiable if it featured the clear (or even black 180 gram) vinyl. Went with the clear and the split, even though I hate myself for spending the $12 on a two-track pic disc of already-released (/to be released) material. It better be gorgeous.
  3. Very sweet. I think each color option (black included) goes great with the art, really. The Seaweed is a little vibrant, but I still think it looks awesome. i gave it another listen and i think i'm gonna keep it after all. maybe it needed a couple plays to knock the gunk off the grooves. it was a little cleaner playback this time. No worries. I'm glad your copy is sounding better with each listen. I'm tempted to clean my own Brine, personally, but I've been pretty content with the way it sounds thus far.
  4. I have a good friend who snoozed on the Brine, and would love to have one without succumbing to eBay prices. Maybe we could set something up? Just if you're interested.
  5. Apparently this dude did. Maybe you could snag it with a reasonable offer.
  6. It's probably just the lighting, but I'm absolutely positive that's the "Gyre" / Olive. Not only does it look the part, but the / 200 is a dead giveaway as well. [ edit ] I'm assuming you're talking about this one, yes?
  7. Yup. Seaweed = Green with black splatter. Brine = Dark Green. Gyre = Light Green. Black = Black. Just so we're on the same page.
  8. My Robotic Empire copy literally came out of the blue. No notice or anything. I live in California and purchased it within an hour of them going live for pre-order. Haven't received my BCD copy, though. That's pretty odd that you haven't received either, too.
  9. This x10000 Had to try. A 0.001% chance is still a chance worth taking.
  10. Haven't received that e-mail yet. You should call up Amazon and throw the shit storm of the year.
  11. Working retail for a few years, I'm always baffled at how adamant customers can be over saving a bit of cash. I've had gentlemen become irate over a 40¢ difference on a single screw, at Home Depot, and I've had women throw fits over the additional 50¢ for a waffle-cone at Baskin Robbins. I get that times are tough, but I've never been one to roll up my sleeves and make a scene over saving a buck or two. But this. This is a whole different story. At a $200+ price difference, I'll also be fighting this thing to the death.
  12. Agreed. The fact it's been going on all afternoon seems pretty sketchy... but it is what it is. I've heard plenty of stories about Amazon honoring incorrect prices, but they were generally (very) brief glitches in the system. As far as having an order # in the thousands? - I doubt it'll matter too much. A first-come, first-serve system would be hilarious, though. "We can only afford to honor the first 50 orders. Sorry." Awesome. If it flops, it's whatever. I don't even really need one, you know? If it goes through, though, I think it could be the biggest Amazon botch of 2011.
  13. Hate to play the pessimist, but at the rate this thing is going, I doubt they'll be able to afford to honor the sheer amount of orders they're receiving. That being said, I bought eight. And by eight I mean one. What's the worst that could happen?
  14. I understand that items are flipped on eBay. And sometimes they're even flipped prematurely. And it definitely isn't the first time I've seen a piece of Bannon art inflated for a BIN price, either. I guess what bothers me - about this instance - is how limited the print is. 25? I'm aware that they're still available from Jake's site, but I can almost guarantee you that after they sell out, someone will finally be able to scrap the cash together to pick up the print. But they'll be forced to resort to that $250 tag, if they want it badly enough. I don't know. Maybe I'm blowing it out of proportion. But when something that's limited, custom-printed specifically for the customer, and shipped straight from the artist himself... I feel like it's such a waste, going into the hands of someone who's not going to appreciate it. I'll report it, I guess. Not that it will change anything. The dude still has the print coming in the mail, regardless. I wonder if the limited-nature of that giclee would allow you to track orders any easier. While I personally didn't spring for the As Pearls Before Swine print, I think it'd be nice - for future releases - to cancel the orders of any flippers if possible. Standing down from the soapbox, now.
  15. Talk about fast shipping! "This print is breathtaking in person, sure to inspire conversation and admiration. / New Condition. No scuffs, creases, bends, etc. Pristine!"
  16. I have this. I only ordered 1 copy of this album too....got super lucky! Nice! I never luck out with rare variants, but I'm waiting for a lucky break. Someday. Perhaps. If you ever find yourself in a financial pinch, or simply become interested in constructing a tuxedo out of $10 bills, please drop me a PM.
  17. Would totally be the most practical move, if I could afford it. It also doesn't help that I can't decide on which Harvest color to go with. And that my room is beginning to resemble a Bannon gallery.
  18. Slept on the KTD print for ages now, and am definitely considering (finally) grabbing a copy... But the New Lows turned out exceptionally well, too. And at 20" x 40" for a fraction of Fractures' price, it's proving to be quite a tough decision.
  19. Phenomenal record. A friend introduced me to them just a few weeks ago... if you're looking for some genuine, raw screamo, this album completely delivers.
  20. "Take It Away" is a pretty cool song but I remember when I first heard "All That I've Got" I wanted to fucking puke! The Used started out on the fence between hardcore and emo/pop and that song just pushed them right over the edge into the shit. I really wished they would have expanded on "A Box Full Of Sharp Objects" sound. Agreed. ILAD has some questionable tracks, I suppose, that teeter more towards emo-radio singles than anything else. But I guess you could count them as guilty pleasures, for me. I Caught Fire (In Your Eyes) was the first Used track I've heard, and if it weren't for the memories and association of friends and good times, I probably wouldn't care for it. I can't say there's too much in my library that resembles either of those two albums... but I'm willing to toss aside any elitist reputation and call them an enjoyable listen (in small doses). If not solely for the sake of nostalgia.
