I picked up a copy of the tour press at last nights show and it sounds really good. This album is amazing it is definitely the catchiest and most melodic stuff they have done.

Open Your Heart by The Men is an amazing album, 'Candy' is one of the best rock songs of the past decade. I can't justify buying a second copy right now but I highly recommend it to anybody who's been sleeping on this band.

Salt is one of the best Alex G songs. I really enjoy Brite Boy a lot too. I actually just love everything he does. Is Beach Music underrated? I think so 

Definitely one of the best releases of the year so far. Powerful Man and Proud are some of his best songs. I hope I can finally see him when he tours for this album.

Sigh, not very surprised by this, not a fan of this band, but it seems like these super self righteous people are always overcompensating for something. I also wish bands would stop using LGBTQ culture/rights/awareness or whatever you want to call it as a gimmick/selling point, especially when it is insincere. Karma is a bitch. I was gonna go to this tour just to see the opening band Ratboys but they dropped off which I'm glad they did, I just hope all the opening bands start their own tour and don't get completely screwed by this. And thats my two cents.

This album is the disappointment of the year. I honestly wasn't expecting much though, but man..

RSD could only redeem themselves to me if they put out something useful, like MAYBE reissuing some Ramshackle Glory on vinyl...or Jets To Brazil. (LOL)

I just feel like Damon let guests take more control of the songs and I can barely hear his presence on the tracks released so far. I am hoping the whole album is more cohesive and maybe the tracks will flow better as a whole and all of the guest feautures aren't too much in the way, but from those songs released already I'm kind of disappointed

I got my BSM copy in today, it sounds great. This album just keeps getting better for me, I can't wait to see them on this upcoming tour.

If you really think the hype about Gorillaz was because of just a reissue, then you're way off, I'm afraid. Maybe on this board yes, but fans and I have been waiting for 6 years for new stuff.

Man, I don't get all the hate on charmer. I think it's my favorite album of theirs. Songs like Frame You, Nervous Kids, and Distress Signal are solid and while the album can lull a little bit it all seems cohesive to me and like they did what they wanted to do.

This sounds nothing like turnover to me, sounds more like old Tigers Jaw than Charmer. Im really stoked to hear the whole album, It's got potential to be better than s/t which I never thought could happen. 

For me, mostly nostalgia. I was in the 7th grade when this came out and it was very different from most other things getting played on tv (music videos were still huge) and they blended genres better than their peers. It has 'radio hits' that still get played to this day, and I have lots of memories growing up with it. Im guessing its mostly people 20-25 who are going crazy about this. I'm not quite sure exactly how to phrase this, but most people in their 20s  (me included) seem to want to own the 'Big' albums from their younger days (mid 2000s) and a lot of those records were oddballs who got decent mainstream exposure which caused a large fanbase to grow instead of a small niche-like following in most subgenres, causing some bands to gain lots of  mainstream fans (Brand New is a good example if this) not sure where Im going with this other than people like to feel special for liking something 10 years ago and still thinking its cool.
