  1. It's possible that Amoeba bought another copy back from a private seller who brought their records in to them. Both Amoeba SF and LA occasionally list out of print records for eBay prices on their site, eBay and Discogs.
  2. Sanders famously campaigned against the concept of home ownership and he owns 3 houses. That's rich.
  3. I've sold on Discogs, here, and eBay. No one will buy your records here unless you are giving them away or selling a nu-emo HT exclusive for below cost. Discogs is great but stock can sit there for a while even if it's priced below all competitors. eBay has been the best as far as actually getting sales and those sales being at a higher price.
  4. If we're being honest here, deflecting focus toward semantics/tone/meta-commentary actually works much better than sarcasm for getting out of political discussion jail.
  5. What we 100% know: - Bernie built his entire platform around the idea that no one should be rich and, if you are, he is going to go after you to redistribute your wealth to social programs until your income goes back down to middle/lower class. - Bernie is rich and he tried to lie to us and hide it. - Bernie collected millions in campaign contributions. And now he owns an Audi R8. Do the math. What we aren't yet 100% sure of: - Nothing.
  6. BTW. I was being sarcastic. Sanders didn't campaign on the idea that ANY amount of wealth is bad or that you have to be middle or lower class and give the rest of your money to an approved cause. Him owning real estate changes very little when it comes to his talking points and his ability to convey them without hypocrisy. Your energy would be better spent grilling him for supporting Clinton as there are stronger cases for that being idealistically hypocritical.
  7. Bernie built his campaign around the idea that anyone owning over 2 million dollars in real estate has to use their money in a way that he believes it is "better spent" (Sanders, NBC Meet the Press, 05/15/2016). So, finding out that he owns over 2 million dollars in real estate is highly hypocritical. He's doing exactly what he said is wrong to do and what all his followers were fighting against.
  8. Forgive my lack of close reading but did they give a ship date? Or is the ship date the same as the September retail/street date?
  9. Awesome! I've got 30 of those so far. I also had the Rolling Stone and Without Blinking an Eye boots but the copies I bought had skips so I mailed them back. It's addicting.
  10. Isn't this like the least bloated least gimmicky Mondo release ever?
  11. The variants are trapped in the black lodge...
  12. It's going to be so weird spinning this and thinking about how everyone who can afford a copy will have one too.
  13. WHAT MORALLY BANKRUPT PHILOSOPHICAL ETHOS ARE U TRYING TO FORCE UPON US? WHO DO YOUTHINK U ARE? YOU ARE FLYING TOO CLOSE TO THE SUN. WE CHOOSE WHAT APPS ARE APP-ROPRIATE. YOU MUST ATONE.
  14. The Rainbo pressing of Moon Shaped Pool wasn't too stressful for me. IMO, it sounded on par with a lot of other new vinyl that I've bought but it just had an army of passionate people online pointing out its flaws on repeat for a week or two. I'll buy this repress!
  15. I lucked out and found Live at Olympia on Amazon for $40 from a private seller. It had a black marker/pen indentation through the bar code but everything else was fine. One disc needed extra tracking weight to overcome a skip. I'm curious how the box set got that marker over the bar code...that's normally reserved for overstock.
  16. Either Bong Load had to pay a pretty hefty licensing fee (I know they are the original label) or the possibility of selling records at blood-sucking major label inflated prices is specifically what brought them back to the vinyl game. If they were doing this out of love for vinyl and making sure the music is out there, they'd probably have released these long before Newbury/majors proved that we are begging to spend $40 on limited edition reissues.
  17. Since there isn't a $20 Mellow Gold black repress coming, as of yet, I'm just going to keep it and buy the cheap-o Odelay next month. Just bummed since I was expecting to blast Odelay all day yesterday.
  18. Isn't Insound 30-40% off at all times? Do they still have codes?
  19. Not everyone is as comfortable going into an election with the mindset of "Disregard what the Republican candidate says, what their followers say, what the party platform says, what their party history says, and focus only on making sure one person named Hillary Clinton is not elected." That's an extreme and narrow perspective that is willing to sacrifice the quality of life of many people to act out an ideological vendetta against one politician.
  20. Zia has a very odd "no returns" policy about warp damage that is begging to be tested for enforceability. They actually tell you, ahead of time, that if a copy is warped to just push the sides down repeatedly until the warp goes away (lol). I know you can get your money back via PayPal but I'm curious to see if it's as easy with a credit card chargeback (Zia didn't take PayPal but someone could have used a PayPal debit card). If you go down a return/refund route, let us know how strict they try to stay with their ludicrous return policy.
