  1. One minor quibble (and its so minor - but I hate them and will be swapping them out so I'll mention it) the records aren't shipped in their inners to eliminate split seams which is class, but they use those poly liners that are rounded at the bottom, which are shit, to preserve the record otherwise. Almost every record was bunched up in their sleeve and partially exposed (which is why I hate them). I didn't get any scratches because of this, but just a heads up to be careful.
  2. The b-sides are on The World Won't listen and Louder Than Bombs so if you are familiar with those comps, you'll know them.
  3. I like it. I don't think its really that far removed from her earlier stuff and I think an acoustic version of this track would prove that. I think singles 2 and 3 have been pretty good.
  4. Just arrived from Bullmoose. So fucking great. Lift top box, 3 double gatefolds (with only 1 LP in the album sleeve). Pressing is top notch. Didn’t even clean them before playing, and it sounds fantastic. I think the cut is really good. I’m interested in comparing it to my original Sire. Gonna play the live album this afternoon to see how that goes. I had had forgotten about ordering this until earlier this week and considered cancelling in case a better deal came along later, but I’m not disappointed in this isn the least.
  5. To exist so it can be moved to general discussion.
  6. I'm sure clearer details of this is lost in translation (because its weird that a third LP is just a hologram), but hopefully this 3LP set is the same as the Special Edition CD reissue from 97.
  7. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the release of 'Star Wars', Walt Disney Records has reissued in a luxurious limited edition triple vinyl set of the music from the movie Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope composed by John Williams. LP 1 and 2 contain the original soundtrack of the film as it was published in 1997. LP 3 is a vinyl with a hologram (of the star?) that appears when the disc is played. This box is accompanied by a magnificent booklet of 48 pages with photos of the recording sessions and scenes of the film.
  8. Has the BF RSD ever been unbelievably good? Why are people so surprised there are so few things of interest. For me there are usually 1-2 things that I want. This doesn’t seem any different to me.
  9. I’ve been buying these from the beginning. I love them. I wish they would put them out faster though.
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if they sell extras on their site when the tour is done. Hell, the RSD single only had 700 copies and its not hard to get one that far above cost. I suspect this will be just as easy.
  11. I wouldn't be surprised if this follows suit like the Red Rocks release and theres a widespread black pressing a few weeks later.
  12. eh, probably, I don't mind them cutting it with room to breathe. 3 songs a side averaging about 15 min a side is not unreasonable. And pretty consistant with every record they have cut so far.
  13. I mean, they did sit on this information for over a year. They aren’t exactly blameless either.
  14. I was gonna hold off on signing up again until they did Madlibs 420 as the hip hop ROTM, but I guess they got me early by dropping this.
  15. Damn, they added Madlib's Flight to Brazil. /1000 No hesitation.
  16. https://regulartrademark.fela.net/products/fela-kuti-box-set-4-curated-by-erykah-badu?variant=1711344746520 usually Amazon and other online retailers carry this. Hopefully we'll see a cheaper price than $120.
  17. Oh yeah, I was fucked over on that Kickstarter too. Forgot about that.
  18. Haven't gotten the record in the mail yet. Think I may just send it back. Also read this on Indieheads
  19. yes. All are $60. I wouldn't rush to buy this one for $100. This was a huge one. In a few months this will come down.
