Happens to me all the time. Usually I can feel the grit rubbing against the record when I take it out of the sleeve for the first time. I assume plants are super busy with the vinyl revival and can't be bothered to blow the records off with compressed air. I don't remember this being an issue 10-15 years ago. Little bits of vinyl + static = scratches. Sucks.

Got my Interpol LP today...with a spine split...because those mailers they use are garbage...I think this is the 3rd shipment in a row from them that's shown up damaged. How can a company that does that much mailorder business be that bad about packing records? I think I'm done with them, for reals.

I guess I'm not as up on my OOP grunge soundtracks as I should be. My bad.

Yeah I'm not sure...probably not as bad, but I still wouldn't keep anything I care about in PVC for a long period of time.

PVC sleeves are the WORST. And really bad for your records due to outgassing.

No but it's on my bucket list. I'm not a big fan of "big" record shows in general, usually means everything is crazy overpriced, but I'd still love to see it someday.

Sorry if shirts are a no-no, let me know if I need to delete it. These shirts are $10 each + $4 shipping in the US, $14 overseas. Most of these are unworn or barely worn, all large except Diocletian and Vitus which are XL. Vitus and Beastmaker have tags cut out, the rest are still present. Sorry they're rotated, I'm not fixing them!

The same I believe...And it sold out pretty fast. Granted it was their best album, but still if people keep paying $40 they're going to keep charging $40.

OK...your last sentence says "I'm wondering if anyone who sells records knows the approximate cost to ship a double LP from the US to South America" If it's coming FROM Brazil TO the US, then the cost of the opposite is irrelevant. Different countries have different postage rates.
