Has Rise Records officially run out of local bands comprised of 16 year old emo kids to spend their money on? First they started signing bands that were actually doing something...and now they're rehashing (albeit AWESOME) records from the past that really aren't in high enough demand to require a repress? This label dumbfounds me. I will buy these either way, because I love PTW.

Being a Thrice collector is making it challenging for me to afford food. :-( Hate the cash grab by Hopeless - wish I didn't love this band/album so much.

I can't recall my shipping total for TSOPTC and New Noise, but it was very reasonable. I didn't feel put out at all - definitely under $50 USD total for everything.

I haven't chimed in on this massive thread yet...but I feel the need to point out that in the background of RJ's "spotlight" all of his records are laying FLAT. Piled high. Gross.

Some plants also can't and/or won't offer certain things. For instance, I did a release for which I did not want any center labels. Not just blank, but NONE. There are certain risks associated with this and most plants won't touch it. But I was dead set on my artistic vision and sought out a plant that would. To date, I've only used that plant for one release.

For the record: The system that Travis uses shows a store as "in stock" once it's shipped, not once its actually in the stores. Depending on transit time, this could simply mean that it's en route. What is the SKU for this, Travis? Perhaps if/when you guys call the stores, they could also look it up and scope the "ship date" and determine when it will actually arrive to the store. I certainly don't want to add to the frustration of the employees, but maybe it will help a few of you out to know when to expect them in your fair cities.

Some plants actually lose their shit if you have a movie sample or anything of the like without proper signed consent from the proper channels, thus bootlegging is difficult.

If the packaging is as robust for MCIS as it was for Siamese Dream and Gish, I will have a perma-vinylboner.

I think that we can all agree that the labels that care enough about the fidelity of 12 minutes worth of music to cut a one-sided 12" will more than likely cook up some really awesome artwork and packaging that doesn't have to cost as much as a typical 12" LP. It is beyond feasible to offer a 12" for under $10 retail. Just sayin'

You're failing to realize that until you actually *know* that this variant exists that you're only subjecting yourself to endless amounts of mockery for absolutely no reason. This would be a different cause if there was actually a possibility that you might get the record that you're seeking after all of this.
