  1. I have two pieces of input: 1.) It doesn't happen very often, but media mail is also subject to inspection (to verify that you are indeed shipping items allowed under "media rate") and I have had packages that were packed very well arrive asunder because someone tore through them to make sure I wasn't trying to pull a fast one on the USPS. 2.) Even within the lower 48, I always recommend to upgrade to something other than media when purchasing during the summer months. The few dollars you save on shipping won't account for the warping that you'll endure when your LP was trapped in the world's hottest mail truck for 14 business days.
  2. I have nearly 20 copies of this record on black and I fully intend to flip them on ebay for a minimum of $3000 each. If you can give me a better offer than that, one can be yours. I'll even throw in TWO limited edition poly sleeves with autographed flaps - one has Bert McCracken's sweat trapped on the inside.
  3. ^ *they're = they are Contractions, man. Contractions.
  4. I would LOVE your copy of Tertia - check my link in the signature for trades. If you don't find anything, I'll try to make an offer!
  5. If I had poly sleeves with "flaps" I would personally mail 20 to this retard so that this thread would go away. I try not to be mean, but holy shit. Just buy 100 from bags unlimited - its not like they're expensive! Use the leftovers to line your birdcage or something.
  6. Illusion Of Safety went back up as "on order" so I gave it a spin. Fingers crossed!
  7. Can't wait for this to go up for sale on LP format. Will buy swiftly.
  8. Bump because I only have one copy of Sans Souci left. Seriously, guys - check out Coloured Tongues/MBFT too! Two of their best songs so far imo
  9. Send one to me for further examination and I will get you the absolute best possible way to ship them. I offer my services free of charge, of course. :-)
  10. This is something that only happens if you're willing to pay extra. It's tough to meet those types of challenges while keeping the cost reasonable for everyone. Universal wants a huge chunk for the exclusivity to HT, and then if you want bonus songs it's gonna cost extra. Want them mastered at half speed for extra clarity? That's more. Want a physical proof for the print work? Yeah, you get the point. People were already sensitive about the $20 price tag, and sadly we can't have it all.
  11. I think that too many of you perceive what HT does with this licensing to parallel how a label functions...and that is incorrect. Travis will correct me if I'm wrong, but this artwork problem is not in any way HT's fault because it went down like this: 1.) Travis set up the details for the repress and left all of the work in the hands of the folks at Universal & the pressing plant. 2.) Artwork proofs (that probably aren't even sent to Travis/HT but who knows) are generally Lo-res for basic purposes involving email inbox limitations and uploading/downloading bandwith restrictions. However, unless the person viewing it has the slightest clue that it was set up at 72 dpi, the Lo-res proof will look acceptable. They don't print a few to send out with test presses or anything like that. 3.) Once the product is completed, the pressing plant ships them to the two HT distribution centers - NOT to Travis. At this point, they are 50% of the way to the stores (because that process happens LONG before orders go live online.) 4.) Travis plucks a copy from the California distribution center and gets bummed, but realizes that there is no way to recall hundreds of records back from each store that received them and proceeds to warn everybody BEFORE anyone could purchase it. Nothing shady at all. I could see a revolt if HT had stuffed them all individually like some DIY label or something.
  12. It's also worth noting that you get superior sound quality closer to the outer edge of a 12", so keeping it to only 2-3 songs per side keeps the sonic grooves further from the center.
  13. Hey guys - I bought an extra copy for a member on here who no longer needs one. It's gonna be cost + shipping if you're interested. PM me if you need a copy.
  14. sharkticon - the new EP is worth owning also. I was very pleased with it! geezfools - I am also sad that I missed out on the 180g. The perils of hesitating due to being overseas got me on this one.
  15. Now available without all of that pesky currency conversion and with infinitely cheaper (see also: faster) shipping! This band was brought up in one of the many "Favorite Post-Rock Band" threads on here not too long ago, and I was in the midst of trying to get some to add to our distro...and here they are! For those who are unfamiliar, these guys are more on the technical side of instrumental stuff, more similar to Irepress or And So I Watch You From Afar and the new EP adds even more atmosphere to their previous efforts. The new EP is limited to only 300 copies on transparent wax, for those who might be into such knowledge as well. Released on the almighty Holy Roar Records & there aren't many of these available! Thanks for looking, everyone. http://www.mindovermatterrecords.com/store.html
  16. I wish that he would've started selling off test presses two years ago to buy a new computer in order to respond to one of my emails. Dude owed me a drop in the bucket compared to most labels on here...could've paid me off with just a few obscure bands' "souvenirs"
  17. It can be yours. Since you bought it from dubmaverick, I fear that you might have unrealistic expectations for it's value. What are you hoping to get for it/what did you pay for it?
  18. I am interested in Doc #5 - can you shoot me a PM with what you're looking to get for it so that I know whether or not I can even make your dreams come true?
