  1. Touché! I would counter that more Brandston is still broader than no release at all. If there are other options that pushes the possibility of Brandston to the back burner, however, then you are 100% correct in your statement.
  2. Don't sell yourself (or Brandston) short. Breaking even and making profits isn't something that generally happens after only a few releases. More releases = broader target range = more hits to your site = more awareness of other releases previously unknown to buyer = more records sold. Take the plunge!
  3. Sharks - The Joys of Living 2008-2010 - Rise Records - #/600 - Black and Red Mix I have a copy of this that I would be willing to let go of.
  4. see also: thanks for selling this out so quickly. I just wanted to wait for payday. :'-(
  5. I would definitely get down on Fogdiver and Age Of The Fifth Sun. Fuck it, I'd do Precambrian as well. It'll look nice next to my Fluxion/Aeolian.
  6. The issue is whether or not the person who is mailing it creates the "wall" with the cardboard. If it's only sandwiched in there, it's so easy for the package to get bent practically in half. However, if you use a standard mailer (or create an actual BOX), you create 90 degree angles that help resist folding/bending. You would have to work pretty hard to take a 7" mailer with a record in it and fold it in half far enough to snap a record. Not saying it's impossible, but I think we can all agree that it would be 1000 times more difficult for it to happen than it would with only two flimsy cardboard pieces as it's protector. I recently refused to pay for an ebay auction until the guy PROMISED me that he'd use a mailer because he insisted that he's "always had such great luck with bubble mailers in the past."
  7. I definitely agree with this. I meant it more of a testament to my bad luck in general than my timing with ordering. I probably could've phrased it better.
  8. I was able to score #148 - I am stoked for the lower number - glad I didn't wait too much longer to place my order & totally miss out on this one.
  9. I spend almost all day on the 3rd in a car. Will be refreshing the SHIT out of merchdirect.
  10. I'm gonna bump this thread to see if anyone contained within would be interested in scooping up copies of Brontide's "San Souci" 2xLP without that pesky international shipping? I have contacted Holy Roar about a wholesale order to carry a few of their titles in my distro, and that is among the titles as well as the new Brontide 12" due out later this month. I only ask because I want to order a good chunk, but also don't want to go overboard thanks to our amazing currency exchange rate. If you think you might be into it, let me know and I'll make sure to order enough to cover anyone who shows interest. Thanks guys/gals.
  11. I'm honestly shocked that there wasn't some serious flare up on this one. Good work.
  12. PMd! Bob Loblaw, you should also check your PMs, I am still interested in paying you dollar bills as well!
  13. If the copy you purchased didn't come with the replacement Earth disc (they packaged them outside of the box set in order to keep it sealed, so there would be 5 discs, inevitably) you should be able to contact Cobraside to see if they have any extra copies. Many copies went out to distributors before anyone caught the error on that disc, and it happened to me. They shipped my local record store the 5th disc free of charge.
  14. Got a tradelist? The 'want' list on my DF is like the tip of the iceberg...I'm sure that there are 100 more titles that I don't have listed in there! Lol
  15. I replied to PMs and updated the OP. I traded the Fest edition successfully, and the green/teal variant is pending. Thanks for the interest, everyone. I'm glad to get these into collections where they are appreciated.
  16. BUUUUMP. I know someone on this board is into this band. I *know* it.
  17. Beating a dead horse here, but mine are separate. For sake of locating albums to play, I have strict organization: Tallest to shortest Alphabetical by artist (not like iTunes, but rather by last name when appropriate) Chronologically within artist (by original release date, not date of reissue)
  18. So, I was graciously given a two copies of Listener's "Wooden Heart" and I gave a copy a few spins...but couldn't get into it. I would rather these go into someone's collection who loves them than greedily in mine. I have a copy on opaque green. I'd prefer to trade these than sell them as they were a gift, so check my want list in my sig or shoot me some offers if you're interested.
  19. I have a copy, but not sure if I'm willing to let go of it. Send me an offer and we will see if our interests align.
  20. I have loved every TMV album with the exception of Amputechture - that one never really grabbed me. I thought Octahedron had some amazing atmosphere to it, and thus am 100% stoked for a new album. Will buy on every format made available to me.
