I've placed 2-3 orders with VC so far and have had no issues at all. The first order took a little while to ship, but it was because of a big Xmas sale that was going on, so I totally understood the delay. Virgil's always been great and punctual about getting back to me, so I have no reason to complain.

Goddammit, really kicking myself for being one of the first people to pick up the 7"...for $17 shipped.

Audio Technica AT-PL50. Pretty basic beginner's turntable.

Yeah, probably, but I think they're just marking it up so that people are a little more hesitant to float that kind of cash out front before it gets released. If I could buy 10 of them for $50, I'd feel much better about taking a risk to flip them than if I had to pay $100+.

$17 including shipping is painful, but I love both these bands.

That's the problem though: bands and labels don't make money from flipping. It's certainly the flipper's right, and is an example of Economics 101, but it just seems a little sleazy to me that they buy something for $15, then sell it for $30 a week later.

For the same reason that I don't buy/sell on eBay just to make money, I feel like flipping would just get me into this unhealthy obsession with accumulating and purging. Too stressful and unstable to do it long-term.

Contrary to a lot of people's thoughts, this is one of my favorite MCS albums. I'd love to pick it up on vinyl at some point.

Are you limited to a USB turntable? If you've got a proper A/V receiver and speakers, and have no interest in ripping vinyl to MP3's, there are plenty of budget turntables out there that are arguably better than the ION ones. I've been using the Audio Technica PL-50, and for $80, it's a pretty great "beginner's" turntable.

yeah, i'm in the same boat, didn't VC sent out their 2nd pressing copies almost a month ago? Yep, my 2nd pressing from VC shipped on 12/22, and I got it right around the new year.

Looks like he just changed the price to $49.99

Most of those are a bit too pricey for my wallet at the moment, but this is a great idea and I wish everyone the best of luck. Bid hard!

Probably pretty quick. Less than 1 hour maybe? I think a big deterrent for most will be the price. If the Blink PO was any indication, maybe not. It will be hard to really gauge though. Not the concrete answer you were probably looking for, but it's the nature of this beast. No worries. It's an inexact science, and I'm sure differs with every release. Thanks!
