I'm new to most of these big pre-orders, so forgive me if this is a dumb question, but how quickly are people thinking that the AFS release will sell out?

I know this isn't one of the model's you're looking at, but I recently got an Audio-Technica PL-50 turntable for about $70 new. Not audiophile-quality by any means, but it seems to do a pretty good job for what I need it to do.

They're a great store if you're into film (Criterion Collection, Foreign Stuff, etc.), and occasionally have HUGE sales. Interested to see what their selection is like.

Not to be an a-hole, but are you referring to the extra "Earth" 10" they threw in? I heard the original pressing had some skips and flaws, so instead of opening up the packages, they just re-pressed them and included them in all their orders. I got my copy in today, which is why I was curious.

I just got my BagsUnlimited order in, and am totally happy with the larger, no-flap ones I ordered. My double LP's fit great, and they aren't TOO big for single LP's either. Really happy with my purchase.

I could see them (ones with flaps) being nice for long-term storage, but if you listen to a lot of your records, seems like a bigger hassle than it's worth.

Someone already mentioned this, but the TV show Lost has scenes revolving around records quite a bit. Desmond has a pretty large record collection in the hatch, if I remember correctly, and in the most recent season, they use the analogy of a skipping record to describe how time travel operates.

This may be a dumb question, but has anyone noticed that their copy is a little "fast"? I'm talking about fractions of a second here, and it's certainly not a huge deal, but I was just curious if others had noticed anything. I haven't noticed this problem on any of my other records, so I'm not sure that it's a problem with my turntable speed (although I'm using a pretty cheap table, so it wouldn't surprise me). Maybe it's all in my head...
