I've never listened to Cooper before.  Can you relate his work to some other artists?  Out and about this weekend and unable to YouTube or Spotify him on the fly, but I'd like to hear a comparison if you can spare one.

I'm a huge fan of Parole de Navarre, brilliant album. Also the pressing, being Denovali, is super lush and flawless. It's dark, lots of slow builds, huge on atmosphere and tension. Horror jazz maybe? Dark jazz? Post-jazz?! It's somewhere between latter, post-rock Talk Talk and Burial.

  2. Could've maybe saved themselves a lot of trouble by releasing this statement in the first place! Oh well. Still, their (ex?) fan base will read this as a poor underhanded attempt to reconcile with the victim(s), ultimately still leaving everyone in a position of confusion because no one knows who or what to believe. The situation is well and truly screwed.

  3. I've got some email reminders from Banquet Records (yesterday and today, for things i've now purchased but went out of stock at the time), so I think they've put up some more stock, worth checking out if you're still looking for stuff.  https://www.banquetrecords.com/record-store-day-2017

Also, quite a few Devil Sold His Soul left https://www.banquetrecords.com/devil-sold-his-soul-record-store-day/a-fragile-hope-[rsd]/BSK059LP

  4. Got my OG way back after discovering Detektivbyrån became this band. Highly recommend picking up Wermland at the same time as it's such a wonderful album – also available in the Wintergatan store – they're a real talented bunch. Also, in attempt to become the world's cutest band they also included hand written thank you notes with my purchases and an EP. Love it!

  5. Just finished my first listen and the difference in quality from Life In Cycles to No Clearance is staggering. Love the production on this far more than LiC, this is clean and full of energy, which suits the band's music as it's packed with lots of chill that just blow up into awesome moments. But these moments are not as intense as LiC, not that it's a bad thing, they've progressed and found better ways to make songs feel huge without relying on something tried, test and typical. Definitely at their tightest on this record too, absolutely faultless. Can't wait for my splatter to arrive :D
