I think what birdwell is saying is this: you don't have to constantly tell people how bad their turntable is. Let 'em be. Gets on my nerves as well.

I think that if crappy CD players wore out CDs with every play to the point where their sound would get distorted then people would probably invest in a better CD player.

Don't understand this mentality....I feel like for a decent chunk of people this is their version of CDs....I never had a really nice CD player or speakers in my vehicle and jammed them via a boombox.....but I had hundreds and hundreds of CDs at one point in time. Before anybody jumps my shit, I love my Marantz receiver and wouldn't mind upgrading my Marantz Turntable and vintage Polk-Audio speakers.......but I'm never going to give anybody shit for spinning their records on an Ion USB TT or owning a Crosley

Brent and I had a lot of fun working on this project together. The band has also been very closely involved, which is always nice. We're just stoked that you guys are as excited as we are.

This was announced for THIS summer right?  It's been almost 6 months and still no word, we don't deserve it?  I know Matt got my last two letters, I wrote the addresses on em perfect.  I don't know why I just went all Eminem about it.  Seriously though... I'd love to get an update on this.

I think we ALL do.  All of us.  Why just pay back one lucky person? 
 
Reading that gives me no hope that anything will come ever, which sucks on so many levels.
 
Edit:  The reality is, it seems like Chris is having hard time with money right now and I'm only $15 in on this.  At this point, if he came clean and said, "Yeah, this isn't going to happen." I'd be cool with it.  I think a lot of people would.  But stringing it along for years makes if difficult to not be upset about it on some level.
