Another highly anticipated album repress/release bungled. I’m shocked, shocked, I say

Man this is going to be like trying to buy a PS5 isn’t it? I’d love to have this release.

Got my copy from Milan records on Saturday. Spun it last night while decorating my Xmas tree, and with my girlfriend reading some Korean e-comic on the couch, and it was drizzling outside. it was super comfy and the record sounded amazing!

I hope this is handled well, it could be a great score to own. I got the Cowboy Bebop OST in the mail the other day and it’s fantastic.

I have an og copy of this but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want this. So I’ll hold off on a physical copy and wait for that remaster to hit Spotify i hope the actual record looks half as well as the mock-ups

I just don’t get how they can run a distro and and use such bad cardboard mailers, it’s laughably weak.

Got this in today which surprised me, and it arrived in quite possibly the flimsiest, thinnest cardboard mailer I’ve ever received. I could feel the bend before I even opened it. only the jacket is a bit bent, thankfully no creases on it. Put the record on the platter and it looks like those records you see in cartoons, so yeah BSM is on my “do not buy from” list. I’ve sent them an email but I generally don’t get my hopes up when these things happen.

New music would be great, I always felt that they didn’t get the recognition they deserve. Especially Brett Powell, the drumming on Nocturne always blows me away

Just finished my first listen and I loved it, this was great from start to finish. I made some notes on my phone as I listened and would like to share so pls no bully 1. Harp sounds so nice, very pretty why aren’t they used more often in songs? 2. Hi hats constantly switching channels, makes for a nice dream-like quality 3. I want to hear this track played live ASAP, that clean guitar at the second half tho 4. Nice distortion solo 5. Another track that needs to be heard live, nice ramp up in the half of the song 6. Liked the song better on the album than on the video, I could focus more on the audio than on the visuals 7. When the band enters tho, I like the chorus and will sing that in the car lol 8. Like the transition into the song, and love the feel of this song, certified banger. Highlight so far 9. Intro drum beat- raised eyebrow, drums sound huge. Is this song about John Lennon? 10. Love the guitar riff, very subdued lead guitar but sounds great. Love an album fade out, I feel like I took a trip Relapse delivered a great product, the packaging and presentation are top notch and the production is way better on this album though I never felt it was a deal breaker on DotBT. Record was delivered today ahead of schedule so that’s going to be something very cool to come home to. Gonna unwind and sit in my comfy chair with my headphones.

I listened to constellations a few times but it never really stuck with me aside from “the escape artist” which to me was a highlight. After that album released I just completely checked out. got to see “the seventh trumpet” live though back in 2007 or so, that was cool

I stopped listening to this band after messengers but I’d love to get those first two albums. the album closer on thrill seeker is so damn good

Listened to The Stolen View yesterday, and that was the album I’d forgotten about. It was great!

Sorry I don’t remember which one, I’d gotten it from a sharethread on /mu/ in like 2008 or so, so it can’t be any release from after that year. I scrolled through what’s on Spotify and didn’t see any titles that I could remember. This is gonna bother me all week now lol

This used to be a band I’d only listen to a single album of, but over and over again when I started getting into post-rock. I’m glad they’re still kicking around.

What’s even the point of announcing times if things drop so early? I hope there are represses incoming soon, not buying anything from flippers ever.

Upon my first listen I think I have to say that consumed is my favorite track off this record. I felt that this album kind of meandered a bit here and there though I’ll admit I wasn’t fully paying attention while spinning it. I find that I’m more into albums when I’m driving and am just operating on autopilot, with no distractions to take me away from the music. Repeated listens for the next few weeks are a must.

I’d always kicked myself for not picking up that blood and fire broken circles pressing a decade ago, now it looks like it’ll not only be able to get a copy made for the format but be able to get one curated and sold by the band so excited for this!
