Sure, but look at the significant social revolutions that have happened in modern society (post social media). Social media is only serving to incite the masses. In a few weeks all of your FB friends will be back to posting about nothing significant and most of the world will forget there was ever an issue. Pure, reactionary, mass incited hate, in my opinion, severely limits the lifespan (and credibility) of a social movement.

Where are the next generation of civil rights leaders? I can tell you Sharpton and Krump evaded questions better than most politicians.

What's to clarify? Is it a direct comparison? Obviously not. But an underrepresented social class rising up and overthrowing the political elite with force and brutality? There are comparisons. I just want a more educated discussion on a real issue like race than "fuck em! Burn it down!"

I'm trying to pick up Brand New tickets for their Portland date on Saturday - it's for the lady of the house's birthday - and I'm dealing with this guy on Craigslist. The price is reasonable, however in conversation with him he has said he is out of town and wants to transfer the will call tickets to a friends name, then have the friend pick them up and handle the transaction for him.
 
I never really buy tickets on Craigslist for the obvious reasons, but going would really make my lady happy, so what's the best way to handle this? Should I be a nice dick about it?

I totally agree that that was inappropriate. I was referring to topics much earlier in this thread than that one. I just feel that people should be able to believe one side of a story or another and not be made to feel like they HAVE to feel a certain way because otherwise they're immoral or supporting rapists worldwide. This story is clearly a gross example of why rape culture is in such a bad place right now, but it is also a good example of why all issues, regardless of how polarizing or traumatic they are, deserve to be approached without extremism from either side.

I subscribed to MLB At Bat this year, 20 bucks and you get Audio Gameday for free so you can listen to games on your phone/computer. Maybe that makes me old but I love listening to baseball. A lot of memories listening to games in the car with my dad growing up.
