Oxes - The Fourth Wall OXES (1998-2011), was an experimental, instrumental trio hailing from Baltimore, Maryland, comprising of guitarists Marc Miller and Nat Fowler, and drummer Christopher Freeland. With performance-art tinged of instrumentals that incorporated wireless guitars and stand-up comedy, their music has been described as “heavy metal tone poems,” or “ZZ Top from far away and jazz up close.” The Fourth Wall is an expanded edition of OXES’ 2000 self-titled album packaged with their long-shelved first Peel Session, presented for the first time in its original high fidelity. It is the first in our Expanded Reissues series, which reissues albums with bonus materials remastered with the highest quality possible and includes unpublished documents.

On my variant that I posted earlier — and apologies for the lighting — there is nothing noteworthy when held up to the light. On the A side, there is a subtle black burst around the label, as well as the black on the perimeter, but overall my copy is almost entirely that aqua color. It’s a big disappointment, but I think mine looks less... bizarre that the others that have been posted.

My Revolver variation is aqua with some black smudging around the perimeter. EDIT: now with images below:

I got the single LP – the blue and purple variant. One point of clarification after examining more closely. The LP delivered with scratches on both sides. No damage to the exterior of the box or anything. Cool.

Received my copy of Brother Sister today. Looks great. Another mewithoutYou record, however, with clicks and pops on the pressing. A bit disappointing.

2x the cost for 180g. Lame.

He has since yanked the item. A new single premieres tomorrow, and I expect the preorder to go back up to align with that.
