  1. I have bought more cds this year than I have in a long time. Still love them, and even more now that I can always get them dirt cheap! I buy used cds regularly for less than most new cassettes costs these days. There have been several 2015 releases that I bought a $8-$10 cd instead of a $20-$30 LP. While I prefer vinyl, the format really doesn't matter to me that much.
  2. I actually prefer it the way it is. This thread is not that active that it needs it's own sub-forum.
  3. Nice collections! That Hospital pic makes me realize how many of their LPs I own as well. You should go full tilt and try to get all the cassettes and CDs too!

  5. new Ascetic House NYC batch available... tapes from Croaw, Negation, Appetite, & Grace. http://ascetichousenyc.bigcartel.com
  6. Blowing my mind right now that The Number 12 Looks Like You can sell out 120 tapes of each of their old albums. I like tapes and have a ton myself, but I just do not understand why anyone would want to buy a cassette reissue of a cd that came out 10 years ago. I would get it if the albums were expensive or hard to find, but that is certainly not the case here. And I actually like the band, not knocking them at all.
  7. I am not a variant collector, but I have one of each of their vinyl and cd releases. The only Zao items I am really looking for are their first two demo tapes. I am also always interested in any shirts pre-Liberate.
  8. I listened to the NPR stream today after not listening to this band in years. Surprisingly to me, I liked the album a lot! Went to KRM to order the record only to scoff at the price and order the cd on amazon for 10 bucks instead.
  9. I would agree with the title. "Cashing In" is most certainly what these people are doing.
  10. I do go crate digging and go to garage sales, estate sales, etc... I am not sure what you are getting at here though. How is your wiki site going to determine a value on a random stack of 1,000 records? I would say no.
  11. Just stop now. Everything you are trying to do is already done by discogs and done well. That link doesn't work for me, but if you want a definition of classical music, just use wikipedia.
  12. I liked them when I was a young teenager. Were never one of my favorites though. Their music does not hold up at all now. When they blew up, I sold my original CD of Snuff the Punk for ~$100 on ebay. That was a wise decision.
  13. This store is even more embarrassing than I imagined. https://youtu.be/25BuARcGqn4
  14. I didn't listen to the whole album, but skipped around a few songs. Coming out of my shitty laptop speakers, the first thing that came to mind was Envy.
  15. This band sounds like Envy. (or at least Envy circa 2003, haven't listened to any of their recent stuff.)
  16. I wish I would wait for the trade more often for space reasons. Between my comics and my records, it literally takes up an entire room in my house.
  17. 100% backed! One of my favorites as well.
  18. I also remember really digging a lot of the DC Elseworlds annuals from '94. Haven't read any of them in a long time though so I don't know how well they hold up.
  19. Yes, I mean the mainstream Marvel and DC universes, and a lot of the Image and Valiant books in the 90's were garbage. Not to nitpick your list but, The Authority and No Man's Land are borderline 90's books. They both started in 1999 but went well into the 2000's. That would be like calling Sandman and 80's book. I will always love the Death and Return of Superman and Knightfall story lines since those are the ones that really got me hooked into reading comics and spending all my money on them on a weekly basis. I agree on Harbinger. Also Daredevil: The Man Without Fear miniseries stands out.
  20. ...seriously? I got into comics as a kid in the early 90's and have a soft spot for a lot of books from then. But as an adult reading comics... the 90's is the absolute worst decade for comic books.
  21. Some people in this thread just seem to be on a misguided witch hunt... VYNL was a terrible idea from the start. While it's not particularly for me, Vinyl Moon is not a bad idea. Comps are always a great way to hear new artists. Good luck keeping everything on time though! That is going to be no small task.
  22. This Akers tape is great! As is all of his releases.
  23. This is good! Is there a physical release for the demo yet?
