  1. Where is everybody on this one? The last six Instagram posts from the band have been cryptically building up to something and it looks like midnight tonight Eastern time there will be something up on mewithoutyou.com presumably to order. No idea what yet. Each of the last six posts seem to have slowly played instrumental solo guitar renditions of the final song from each album. Full discography box set as a going away present? Let the speculation ensue for the next several hours til we see exactly what it is. Check it out: https://www.instagram.com/mewithoutyou/
  2. I can't believe it would sell out already. That's nuts. I'm going to guess they just need to up the quantity available for purchase on the site. I mean, the Effloresce remaster was released in like 2017 and is still in stock.
  3. Well, shit. I missed this topic completely. I'll delete my version.
  4. Good lord, that looks like they melted down a white person and put the subsequent human goo on a record press.
  5. There's a chance those other examples may have had other features or packaging details that set them apart but if they didn't, then true to form people tend to over replicate listings any time the same version of a coveted title comes back in stock. Likely, someone will come along and petition to merge some of those listings together. the Norah Jones fanbase seems like one that would tend to be overzealous in the discogs version listings. Most Deftones fans probably don't even know what a matrix number is. I say that as a huge Deftones fan myself but if you've spent any time on the Deftones forums, you'll see the general population is not particularly details oriented and marginally conscious of most things. There will likely be less tenacity in the upkeep of the version listing for Deftones releases and until someone receives a copy from this new stock, we won't know if there is any pertinent details to warrant a separate version listing for it.
  6. Its likely simply more units printed under the latest mastering job thereby not a "new" or different pressing technically. You don't need to add a new entry for that. If there are identifiers in the barcode or matrix numbers that differ from the latest known pressing, then that would require adding a new entry.
  7. Yeah, that's the impression I got from either the store listing or his instagram post. Can't remember which it was. Not trying to live that box set life with this release. I like the album but not enough to go that far with it.
  8. Definitely want to add the 2xLP version to my collection but shipping is almost as much as the record and it'll end up being probably over $60. I just can't spend like that right now. The posting says they should end up in retail stores. Maybe I'll get a better deal finding one that way.
  9. This would be mindblowing-ly AWESOME. Seriously. But yeah, I'm glad it means something to you to hear that. Its one of those underdog, super unlikely titles that I just thought would never get done so congrats on being the first and for doing a phenomenal job to boot.
  10. Major respect and thanks for helping that along. I'm not trying to hate at all but yeah, I do really yearn for a standardized jacket for that release. Its amazing what you guys did. As I said, it fulfilled the release of one of my never pressed wishful releases so that is amazing and the mastering is great. But since its OOP now, we might as well get someone to facilitate a new pressing in the vain of the other reissues. Thank you again, for bringing that into the world.
  11. I cannot agree more. I don't even care about gatefolds (I actually like them in single pocket jackets) or differentiating from the originals. I just want them optimally cut and pressed and if they're together in a box or all separate its whatever to me. I definitely feel you on the MoM press of Like A Virgin. Its a killer pressing and its the ONLY pressing ever so big shout out to MoM for fulfilling the dream I had of owning that on vinyl finally. Plus, it sounds awesome but yeah, something about that homemade feeling jacket leaves me wanting for a standard style jacket construction. Well put!
  12. Yeah, when you put it all into perspective like that, it seems more likely that they will be piecemeal parsed out in reverse chronological like that. I wonder who is going to handle and post the first two LP's. Repressing This Is Meant To Hurt You would be crucial and another press of the Like A Virgin split would be extra cream on top but of course the TAAS tracks will already be re-released from the compilation that this thread refers to anyway. Still I love the whole aesthetic of the original split album art as a unique release and those Harkonen-only tracks plus the joint effort collaboration that closes the EP are all very much worth spinning. This fucking band... they're too great. Another cool detail that might have gotten missed in all this is that this current TS&D press is gatefold now. The 2008 variants are NOT but I don't know if the 2016 remaster is or not. Pics of that pressing on Discogs make it look like there could be gatefold panels but its not clear.
  13. Yeah, it says reissue but I'm not totally certain that this is actually part of what they were talking about recently regarding reissues of the entire catalog. Who knows. I imagined the LP's would all be put up at the same time from one source but that's not grounded in any actual knowledge of the situation. I know the first two were put out on Jade Tree initially for the CD release and Second Nature did the vinyl. I wasn't following them when those albums were first put out so I don't know how close the CD/Vinyl releases were to each other but I've always assumed they were concurrent. The 2016 reissue on "renal failure" vinyl has matrix information that differs slightly from the 2008 variants which says to me that there was likely a re-cut/remaster that occurred for that press. So that one is probably all set to be put out like this. I don't know maybe this is phase 1 of the whole thing. I just really want remastered Oxeneers and Easter and HOPEFULLY a black variant option for each. You know the deal.
  14. Fair. That's on me. I'm going to wait to see Guidance come up in retail for teh blakzness as I've misplaced my original copy. That album didn't truly speak to me but it was much better than Memorial for me and I need to have it for completion's sake. Still, those two albums are probably the weakest in terms of my response to them. Blood Year was an outstanding return to form and saw the band pulling out tricks I don't think I've ever heard from them before. There's even a near-Death-Metal moment.
  15. This was such an underdog/longshot story! I'm glad it worked out. So cool and such a nice change of pace from us all bickering at each other over trivial shit that isn't trivial to us but actually rather life and death hence the totally appropriate bickering lol
  16. Haha! Seems like that wouldn't in particular alleviate the way that people are interpreting the name as the keyword "Russian" alone seems to be inherently incriminating in this case. They'd have to become "Circles" or "Circles The Band" to fend off the suspicion. Yes, people are stupid. Fuck Putin, yes; but also fuck the Azov Battalion, fuck NATO, fuck the US Military Industrial Complex, fuck Biden, fuck Zelensky, fuck Trump, fuck Obama, fuck the Bush family, fuck the Clinton's, fuck Reagan and so on.
  17. So are you the dude who has this right now? I'm assuming so but must have confirmation. This is every collector's dream: the chance to buy back the regretted sell off.
  18. It started to feel like that which even the ISIS "problem" was completely stupid. I understand why they tiptoed around it but the public creating that reactionary alarmism around their name was pathetic and so painfully "murika." I did find that ISIS performing under the name Celestial kind of added some mystical ambiance for me when they did that benefit show back a few years ago. That actually feels like a really cool name for a band and I would totally rip it if I could ever get something off the ground.
  19. You know, they actually posted that people had been hounding them about their stance on the current war between Russia and Ukraine and that is absolutely stupid. The band of course handled it very diplomatically but I'm certain the ones who questioned them are all people who don't know the first thing about what those countries are even in conflict over or how the US government has been prodding both countries into this current situation. I consider myself more sensitive than most people to such issues as social justice and movements toward peace but I was galled to find out that people wanted to make sure Russian Circles weren't "Putin's buddies"... Like, how literal and lacking in any form of subtlety can you be? People are stupid. "Russian Circles?!?!? An instrumental post rock band from Chicago??!!? I hope they're not shelling Ukrainians!!!!"
  20. https://bubblesandgutz.tumblr.com/post/677185214531977216/hey-brother-im-going-to-be-the-really-annoying There is no new TAAS record. Represses seem imminent though so that's nice.
  21. I have a feeling the manufacturing is completed on these though. Tool seems like an entity just old school enough that they wouldn't promise a release date unless they knew they were already ahead of it on having the units sitting and waiting to go out. I know most labels and artists are just making promises and hoping their deadlines are going to be met by the plants even more so lately but it seems like Tool operate at a higher level when it comes to physical media and more than likely got preferential prioritization by the plants due to being such a well known artist. I am COMPLETELY speculating though.
