Congrats dude, I had one a couple years ago and it was a good car. Had to trade it in because work required a truck but I like it for the year I had it. Did you get the one with the integrated iPod setup (not just an Aux. jack)? That was the best part of that car.

Anybody who knows anything about real photographic prints knows this price is very reasonable. I don't get how people can bitch when they'll spend hundreds on those retarded graphic design prints that all the hardcore bands rape people for.

Yeah, I wouldn't even call the photo OK. It's just some dudes in a band's backs. A nice memento for fans of the band, but photographically speaking it's a pretty bland photo.

Are you guys talking about the reproduction Dianas they introduced recently? Are they any good? They always looked like expensive Holgas in a fancier dress. I have an original 1960s Diana, those used to be really sought after, but I don't know how the reproduced ones affected that value. Holgas are fun but they're just a toy. I've seen some really striking images created with them but they're usually good photos to begin with where the distortion just adds to the overall feel of the image. A lot of people just take pictures of anything and think that the vignetting and distortion makes the photos artsy.

Was it even funny at all? Parody threads can be sometimes funny but doing a parody of a parody of a parody just gets old and tedious and shows a lack of originality. Oh well.

I doubt many people care, but 6/7 MAR bands are playing Fest this year. Here are the set times. All of these bands will be playing a Pre-Fest show in Tampa as well. I'll be dressed up as a giant ear of corn, if you see me come say hi!

Yes, the label can determine how many tests they get. Most plants have a standard amount they give (3-5 usually) and then after that you can buy extras at the cost of the record (usually no more than $1.75 per extra for LPs). Some labels order extras with the intent to sell, No Idea and VC come to mind. There's nothing wrong with this, as both labels do a lot of releases that don't sell out and don't break even, so it helps offset those losses by selling a few tests pressings for more popular records. Other times labels order more for tour editions and the like. The last 7" I pressed I ordered extra tests to give out to the bands and friends (but not to sell).

Pressing records is super fucking expensive and unless you're pressing (and selling at retail) 1000+ copies you'll probably never break even, let alone make money. Test pressings are in demand and people will pay for them so it's a good way to make some money back. It's their stuff to do with as they please, who the hell has the right to tell them they can't sell their shit to make some money? Are they supposed to give all of them away so that some other kid can flip it on ebay?

You can make the same argument for LPs and even CDs nowadays since mp3s are so prevalent. I'm not a tape apologist, but I don't dismiss the format entirely, either. I have a small tape collection, all comps and demos that aren't available on anything else. Every time anyone sees them they comment on how stupid it is to have tapes in 2009 and that they suck and all that shit; I don't see how they could make anyone look hip. They really just make you look like a dork that listens to music that isn't even good enough to get put on a CD!

I'm too lazy to look up which pressing that is. If it's a first press or a rare color it might be a fine deal but if you just want a copy to have I think you can find a better deal on ebay. It's been a long time since I really paid attention to HWM records, though.

Tilt wheel seemed a bit cool, cruiserweight and vena cava clips bored me though. When I say crazy and fucked up at least mean guys who will bring it all no matter where they are at. Bands that bring the same crazed excitement like Hour of the Wolf or Bomb the Music Industry. TiltWheel will be a big fat hairy drunken mess and it will rule. If you miss it you may as well not go to Fest.

not a sign of a bootleg. just a sign of someone who doesn't want to pay high prices for 1000 sets of printed labels when there are 300 copies. Single color labels are like $80 and most plants charge $20 for blank labels. So the dude saved $60 per LP. Eh.... kinda lame that he couldn't do that but had the money to do split color vinyl.

It's Alive is about ready to post like 3 or 4 other new records for sale along with this, plus I think the repress of the Dopamines LP. Make sure you buy as much as possible because if anyone deserves it it's Adam!

Shang-A-Lang all the way! They had the best set BY FAR at Awesome Fest this year, so intense. God, I love that band.

How the hell do you guys keep your ratios so high? People say you need to put up new torrents. The problem with that, other than the fact that every time I attempt to make them I fail, is I don't have anything that isn't already up there.
