  1. Honestly, I think he's just referring to Pete Repellent. If you read back over the thread there aren't a whole lot of people defending Ben Weasel, so I don't know how that dude can claim there's a "bunch" of BW "ass-kissers." Honestly, I don't follow this bullshit. But I do know that drama just seems to follow Ben around and it never goes away, hence all the tired Ben vs. Toby BS. Why would anyone without a dog in the fight want to stick their neck out and just continue to throw fuel on the fire. I mean, I kinda get it, maybe someone is friends with Ben and they want to stick up for him, but there's so much drama surrounding the dude that you're going to spend all of your spare time on the internet arguing with other people for speaking out against Ben. Same thing goes for the anti-Ben people, if you stick your neck out and start a feud with him it never goes away, so why even go there? I dunno, I don't really give a shit. Like I said before, I've heard stories about Ben being a dick, but I'm not his buddy, I just like listening to fun punk rock songs. I don't see why some people want to drag themselves into bullshit that they really don't need to be a part of. This goes for BOTH sides of the argument. It's just old and tired. "Ben Weasel is a dick and did this dick move at some show!" "No he didn't you weren't there you don't know what you're talking about!" "Yeah, but Ben Weasel said so-and-so is a jerk!" "That guy was being mean to Ben first, he was just defending himself!" Doesn't anyone ever get tired of this bullshit? :
  2. Tennessee "Party" Marty? The one and only, although he's lived out here in California for a few years now.
  3. Hmm... I knew that some of the records were out of 150 and some were out of 350 but when my brother saw the show in Austin on Friday he called me and asked for a color preference because they had 4. I told him to get me the rarest color and then he called back and said they're all out of 250 so I told him to get me whatever color looked the coolest. Not a big deal but I kinda wish I would have checked the pressing info in this thread.
  4. Hey Eric! Marty and I have the venue confirmed for 12/20. You still down? December 20, 5:00PM (early show) at the Menagerie Riverside, Ca w/ Jesse Thorson + more TBA
  5. So they didn't give you any weird looks or question you at all when you asked for nearly 30 copies of one record?
  6. Dude it all depends on how you drink it. Have it in a espresso cup no milk or sugar and you will be able to taste the difference, same as you can taste the difference between a coffee maker, peculator and espresso machine. Saying that its all good, i'm not a coffee snob. I'll take granules any day! I've tried different blends without all the extra stuff in it and the only differences I can really taste so far is when people water it down or make it strong. It took me a while to develop a discerning taste for beer, at first it all tasted the same. I think I just need to develop tastes. I'm glad I'm not a coffee snob, though, since the Folgers at work is free, I'd hate to have a $5 a day coffee habit.
  7. Just got into coffee. I'm really enjoying it but it all tastes the same to me right now, whether it's fancy brewed shit or the crap in a hotel room. I wanna try this though.
  8. This is a crock of shit. First of all, most of the really great games are available for both systems. Second, it's all subjective, but compare the exclusives and both systems have amazing games. PS3: Killzone Ratchet and Clank Uncharted Infamous Megal Gear Solid MLB The Show God of War Gran Turismo Heavy Rain Final Fantasy 360 Gears of War Halo Forza Mass Effect Those are all I can think of for 360. I'm not trying to be biased I just don't have the system anymore so I can't think of anything else. Fill in the list with others. The point is, both systems are great, both have advantages, both have killer games. The whole fanboy thing is stupid. I'm probably going to buy a 360 next week when I get paid just for COD MW2 because everyone I know who has it plays it on 360. I'll probably just get an Arcade system. The internal memory is enough for in game saves and then if I ever need anything more I can just buy a 20gb hard drive for like $20 off ebay. I always thought the Arcade was a ripoff but now that it comes with a wireless controller and I have extra HDMI cables lying around my house it's a good deal for now.
  9. Ben is a douchenozzle, that's a well known fact. The songs are still fun though. I don't listen to Screeching Weasel often but when I do I just wanna hear some good songs, not trying to be his buddy.
  10. haha good one .... for a second I just thought .....did I miss something .... but it was recorded in switzerland ...anyway I think you got everything! Man, I'm retarded. First I thought it was German then I fucked this up. I actually remembered it was in Switzerland but I typed that all up work and I was in a hurry.
  11. ? ? ? “Live from Rock Island: The Daytrotter Sessions” That's right... that's the 10" right? Is that out yet?
  12. I'm gonna have my brother pick up this 9" for me at the show tomorrow in Austin. I have this feeling that I'm missing out on some other recent Chuck record. Here's what I picked up recently... Gold Country Break Bread 7" Gold Country 7" Gospel Hymns 7" Swedish Live LP Bootleg 2xLP and then I'm getting the 9" tomorrow. But for some reason I thought there was still another one I was missing or am I good?
  13. The man speaks the truth. Prices are always the highest for new records right after they've been released and sold out through the label. For example, Fat colored records always sell for a fuckload for the first few auctions, right as the first people get their records and flip them, then the market gets flooded and the prices cut in half. After that they rarely ever sell for the prices seen when they were first released.
  14. Oh man, that is such a relief. I never heard any of that BS about the vans moving, but I did hear lots of people's theories the night the event happened. So he did end up getting to go to the Fest?
  15. So has anybody heard ANYTHING about the kid that got hurt at the Tampa show on Thursday? Is he OK?
  16. Hot Water Music- Fuel for the Hate Game, first press, half black/half white, /50
  17. I got about an hour into it and turned it off. Terrible, terrible movie.
  18. haha yeah that was me. The corn hairs were really cool except they kept getting in my face. I hope I didn't get too out of control during Shark Pants, I was totally euphoric at that point and just fucking ruling. What a great night.
  19. This was my third Fest and the first time I actually got "Fest Aids." I have the worst flu I've ever had. I've missed two days of work already but I think tomorrow I'll be ready to suck it up and go. Had a blast this weekend, though. Only saw about 15 bands but they were all great. Totally bummed I missed Jonesin's last show. Snuff fucking killed it. So did Shark Pants. It was great meeting people from here. I was out of it Thursday at Pre-Fest so if I met you then and seemed short, sorry, I was just about ready to pass out and die. If you saw the idiot running around in a corn on the cob costume, that was me. You might have also mistaken me for a banana. Good times.
  20. I believe that it was Trinity that killed Lundy, which explains the look on his face right before he was shot. It was a look of recognition after running into him in the plaza the day before when he was scoping out the place. I think that Trinity was so upset because he killed Lundy out of necessity as an act of self-preservation, thereby breaking up his entire ritual. We've seen how spazzed out Dexter can get if his ritual is interrupted. Trinity also appears to show a bit of remorse/regret when he kills even though he feels such a strong urge to do so, he might also just be upset for that reason.
  21. Unlike 35mm film, which is self contained in a light-tight cartridge, medium format film is placed directly onto a spool and is only protected from light by a paper backing. You will need to get your hands on some extra 620 spools from ebay or an old photo shop. These really shouldn't cost much. Then buy a few rolls of 120 film. Once you have the film it needs to be changed using a room that is TOTALLY dark, or a film changing bag (~$20 at a photo store). You need to remove the film from the 120 spool and put it back on to the 620 spool. Spools are reusable indefinately until you break one, but that won't happen under normal use. Here is a picture of 120 film on the spool along with 3 empty spools.
  22. I'm wearing a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. In my backpack I'll stuff in some personal items, extra boxers and socks and that's it. In a bag I'm bringing label and band shirts to sell and a few records to sell. I'll change if someone else gives me a t-shirt. punx!
  23. Shakespeare Stout is great, can't believe nobody mentioned that yet. I'm really interested in their Imperial Porter but I've yet to find it locally.
