  1. I've had some pretty limited experience with the 78s which are fun to research but the majority of them aren't worth much. From what I understand, there are a few different labels that are very rare and are worth a ton, like the Paramount blues records. They are rare because there wasn't many of them pressed, but most of the white people dance music isn't rare because it was pressed for the masses. Your best bet is to look up individual titles, probably the ones from the labels you don't recognize will be worth more. Just know that typically the people who collect those kinds of records are looking for condition and rarity and often times are pretty intense about them.

My advice, if you want to unload them is to get in touch with that dude and his wife and have them make you an offer. It sounds like they are interested and will give them all a listen which is ultimately the point of collecting...to enjoy the music.

My best advice, is just because it is old, doesn't mean it is worth anything and that these records are only worth what other people are willing to pay. From what you have described it doesn't sound like there is anything really rare or hard to find but it is really hard to know without actually looking at them. You could also look them up on discogs.com. You aren't going to find a ton of the 78s on there probably but the LPs you should be able to look up.

    Best of luck!

    COI007, about my history with Blink-182: https://colorsofinsomnia.substack.com/p/coi007-while-youre-counting-your

This was quite an interesting read as I feel exactly the same way about Blink...California was garbage and this tour looks like less fun than a root canal. I loved this band so much younger but when it died the first time, it should have stayed dead...

Were you at the Aaron West show at The Basement in Columbus the other day? I thought I saw you but wasn't sure since I really only know you through Jordan...

I have a signed We Don’t Have Each Other on either blue or blue swirl. I bought it from Soupy himself at a show but haven’t looked at it in awhile so it could very well be either variant.

If you check and it is the blue, I would be totally interested in it. Let me know a price if you are into selling it because I know before you were still planning on hanging onto it. Let me know man and thanks for the response either way.

  4. I've been trying to locate some variants from Aaron West and TWY to update the old collection. It has been a while since I posted one of these so I'm really hoping to get one or two of these knocked out.

If you have any of these and are willing to part with them hit me up. I'm looking to haggle a bit so feel free to throw out a number to me at what you are looking to get...

Word across the internet is that all of the tour variants are gone. Last one sold in Chicago on the 8th and witness claimed to see the last sale. First person to the merch booth the next day at Columbus on the 9th says there were no vinyl of any kind for sale and that Soupy said he went through them faster than he thought he would.

I’m still trying to get anyone else to verify these two accounts. Anyone here have any information?

Yep, this is true. They were sold out in Columbus.

Was really disappointed to miss out on the tour copy of this but whatever. I guess I'll throw my hat in the ring too so if you have a tour copy of this record you are looking to sell and you haven't hit up the dudes before me in this thread, hit me up. I've been collecting TWY variants since 2010 so I'd love to be able to keep it going.

We'll see. It's really hard for me to judge their albums at face value any more since ROTH took a long time to grow on me. I've listened to the leak a few times now and enjoy it like a 7/10. But I'm waiting for the physical vinyl so I can sit down, read along, etc and wager that will increase. It was the same for The Hotelier "Goodness". That album was good, but the first time I sat down, read the lyrics, completely different.

Amen dude, I'm looking forward to this one...I don't think any of their albums will ever top Wildlife for me though. I have to be in the right mood to listen to that record though because it fucking destroys me.

I really really need to revisit rooms of the house

  7. Is anyone else intrigued or have thoughts on this guy?

So far he is the only one that will be running that I feel has detailed plans and a pretty amazing idea to put America on a better track...

I mean, universal basic income (or the "freedom dividend") wasn't really something I thought would be a good idea but man the more I think about it, the more it makes sense.   "Human Centered Capitalism" is quite an interesting concept too...

    Thoughts? Ideas?

sun-drenched pavement society is a thing i guess. i've loved these guys for going on a decade and i'll always back them, but........ not in on this at all. last couple of years they've completely lost me

edit: my primary concern with this, aside from it being cost-prohibitive, is: will they keep up with it? idk if anyone remembers when dan forayed into "shallow water" with his charity shirt series in like 2011-12. went for a few months, then poof, done. conceptually/structurally they're not identical, obviously, but i can see them falling behind on this and it creating animosity

To be fair, he did it for a whole year and I don't know if it was supposed to go longer than that. I ordered every shirt and all of my orders always came in the mail. The shirts were high quality and always really fucking cool.  It was a great concept but I imagine it was difficult to keep going with it so the fact that he was able to do it for an entire year is pretty impressive...

With that being said, I want to save up for this cause I am so in...
