  1. meat puppets ii is currently in print, or was in print very recently the up on the sun reissue is real nice, we pressed it. they remastered it but specifically for vinyl.
  2. it's an issue with the cut, the sound can vary between turntables
  3. which pressing is the blue/black s/t sonic youth ep? i have the neutral records version and have seen the recent reissue, they both look like the one on the right. is the blue/black one of the sst versions?
  4. New split 7" - The Goodnight Snacks / Les Cousins Dangereux - Christmas Split $5 shipped, limited to 66 copies on some pretty intense variants: http://lescousinsdangereux.bandcamp.com/album/underneath-the-tree-carol-of-the-bells
  5. yeah i was hoping for some long-winded post about how haunting the vinyl listening experience is
  6. grouper - a i a alien observer the two grouper records from this year are easily top of the list material for 2011. glad to finally have copies of them
  7. got this as well. i knew it was a long shot but still a bummer.
  8. yeah then after going in there i just feel like a chump for going in there and seeing those crappy ion turntables they sell it's no wonder everyone complains about skipping records if those terrible fucking turntables are all you can get at a big box store
  9. yeah i go to several places that have high but fair prices on some collectible records, but no store i frequent seems to do the straight up ridiculous prices on anything. i had a clerk explain his whole process of trying to find a good middle ground price on a record where he could pay a decent amount to the person traiding it in and not having to sell at an 'ebay price' and it made me want to patronize his store more often.
  10. every time i walk past urban outfitters since seeing this thread i pop in and look for these crazy marked down records and never see a single discounted record
  11. i buy most of my stuff second-hand so brick and mortar stores are obviously where you can find me. the secondary market online is just so damn overpriced
  12. there will be plenty more of these, they just did a rush job on the first 100 for this show
  13. This comp is really great and only hints at what's to come on the Boddie Recording Co. box set. Really stoked for it. There was awhile where copies of this were pretty scarce - I'm sure some of the cassette copies are still floating around though. I thought I should own it since one of the Boddie presses is currently at my place of work being restored. we've already restored and started using a Boddie extruder to make split-color and stripe records.
  14. i got the boddie 2lp and like it a lot, it's the only numero thing i own, though.
  15. my local store had a copy of torture garden but it was toast and he was asking $25. maybe if it was at least vg, but this was a radio station promo, completely trashed.
  16. single. there's 2x the chance of something being wrong with a double
  17. Zola Jesus (& Former Ghosts, of which Nika is a member) As complete as I'll allow myself to make it. Stridulum II and the Poor Animal 7" were released overseas but together have the same tracks as Stridulum and Valusia in the states. Also she's on a song on the newest Prefuse 73 record, but I don't dig that record at all. I will be picking up the new M83, though.
