Seconded on Beer Revolution and the First and Last Chance Saloon in Oakland. Also nearby is the Trappist which is really nice and has a ton of beer. I'm drawing a blank of anything particular in SF, but I'd recommend just walking around - a lot of pretty cool areas are fairly close. For example Downtown, Embarcadero (the bay/fairy building), North Beach (italian), and Chinatown are all really close. I'd be interested in grabbing some beers or something depending on how much free time I have. I'm also not that awkward

I think they've played Kiss the Bottle every time I've seen them. The only one I really want that I've never seen is Hearts on Fire.

Eh, she's a little old for you, but you can take a shot with her. I hate LOTR, Star Wars, sci-fi, fantasy, all that bullshit (I'm not including the literary brilliance of Tolkien in that, just not my bag to read so many times). It's one of the many issues we have. But she doesn't actually like records. And she doesn't usually like me spending our money on them. you don't deserve a girlfriend that likes those things.
