Got my copy from Bandcamp yesterday. Despite the blue galaxy not matching the mockup at all, it's still a nice looking variant. I'm definitely not upset with how it turned out.

I have always preferred the forum format for this sort of thing vs. Reddit. I like posts being bumped to the top when new comments happen. And the vinyl subs are too big to really get to know people. I like that part of VC probably more than I like hearing about new releases. I use Reddit a lot for other hobbies and fandoms I am part of and can’t say I have formed any friendships or made any acquaintances in r/guitarpedals or whatever other ones I post in with a billion other people.
My thoughts are pretty in line with this too. The self-contained nature of message boards definitely promotes more of a community aspect than any subreddit I've ever been on has.
I still talk to old friends from various message boards on a regular basis, despite neither one of us having anything to do with those communities anymore (if they even still exist). Can't say the same about anyone I've ever talked to on Reddit.

Has anybody seen movement on orders through Bandcamp? Nothing on the Blue Galaxy for me yet.

Can’t remember if this was brought up on VC and which thread. Circa Survive and Touché Amoré are doing a split 7” and performance on Two Minutes to Late Night. 2 variants, presumably 24 hour open pre-order.

Pink/Blue:

FINALLY got shipping notice on the pink/blue today. Over a year...

Listening to a test press on an LP60?
You're right. An LP60 makes for real bad quality control.
They should have used a Victrola suitcase to see how it will actually sound for most people who buy it.

I don't think this is very good advice. Line Out should only output a static line level signal as opposed to a Pre Amp out which would provide a variable attenuated signal.
You should get a headphone amp of some kind and plug it into the Line Out.
Good to know, thanks!

I never considered myself a fan of the band but I definitely listened to tracks from their first two albums. I guess they’ve gone full blown Progressive Metal now.
The first two were lots fun. City of Evil was listenable, but everything after than has been pretty bad imo.

Anyone got pictures of the Black/Red A-Side, Yellow/Orange B-Side (/500 memory music exclusive)
and the Black/Red (/1000 Indie exclusive)?
Pictures I'm finding have them looking really similar...or the same?
The pictures on Discogs looks quite different from one another.

Was any one else as taken aback by the vocals as I was? I had to do a double take to make sure that it was still M. Shadows. I understand he is getting older and this is their first "new" material in almost a decade but he just sounds really off.
Same. I thought the vocals sounded horrible, personally.

wrong thread, lol

Or perhaps they just picked something that looked nice with the album art, with no regard to what variant collectors care about?

Ok, time for the yearly bump.

Last 24 hours for this.
Went to my order page and saw that it says 2,464 people have pledged. But if you just do the current total divided by thirty you get 2,698. So either, people are giving Kimya more out of the niceness of her heart, or 200+ people have bought $150 “test presses” ha.
I think there was only ten tests available. There's another option for $250, where you get a producer credit/thank you in the notes. I imagine a handful of people went for that one.

That was my fist time seeing them at the Showbox. I've seen them at Sit & Spin, Graceland and the Firehouse in Redmond. I don't know if those venues are still around or not.
Friday was an amazing show. Looks like all 3 shows had the same setlist, neat!
Sit & Spin has been gone for almost 20 years I believe. Graceland is still around, but ownership has since changed, and it has been called El Corazón since 2005ish.
The Firehouse should be celebrating it's 30th anniversary this year I think!

Deleting double post.

Grab one of these and connect it to the out. Should do the trick, assuming we're talking about wired headphones.

Also, I need to mention how perfect Tim's drumming sounded.
I know the other guys have been pretty active since Botch broke up, but this dude hasn't been playing live music in the last 20 years to my knowledge. He didn't miss a beat, no pun intended.

The Saturday show was awesome. I saw their last show at the same place 20 years ago and I'd say their energy and stage presence was just as good now as it was then. They were even tighter though now (which I guess comes along with some of them continuing to play in other bands consistently throughout the years). I seem to remember at the last show an alarming lack of stage dives (I think the security there was tighter back then). People were getting WILD at the Saturday show. Very stoked indeed. Heck, I even went to the show with the same two people that went with me in 2002.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that there wasn't a barrier. I don't believe I've been to a show at the Showbox Market that didn't have one in 15+ years, at least.
I almost came out of stage diving retirement during Japam. I had a straight line from the bar to the stairs on the side, but my achy old body told me the pit was a safer bet.

so funny for them to do all of this teasing and hype if it ends up just being for one (1) show
At this point, would you expect any different?

Goldmine is the baseline used for ratings on Discogs, though I think most sellers (and buyers, really) don't try very hard to accurately apply it.
