care to enlighten us with a link to where you read that someone got their vinyl and shirt bundle? hate people who claim something happened without providing any sort of proof, at least in the form of a link directing people to where they got the information from in the first place. if your goal was to just stir the pot with rumors you were successful, but lame in the process. -

they're going to be selling the CD at the record release show this saturday so someone getting the CD this early is not a total shocker. the guy who started the "people got their pre-orders" talk said someone apparently got their vinyl and shirt bundle. which is the only thing i care about. -

dude saying people got their pre-orders already is from ap.net. so i would take anything he says with a grain of salt. and of course the obilgatory pics or it didn't happen applies here more than ever. -

drug use is almost expected, at least recreational use. you could argue it's part of the lifestyle of a touring band or any musician. but the problem starts when it gets to the point that you have to go to rehab. -

do some people just choose to ignore Anthony's drug problems and rehab stint. -
sure hope this is true but can some from SRC confirm or deny this? since there seem to be several people who post or at least have admin accounts now from SRC, can someone just come out and say the pressing info or list it in the store...

Paper + Plastick Fourth of July Sale
shat replied to shenanigans's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
for me right now shipping for one 7" is only $2. so if it goes up with this sale P+P can go fuck themselves. -

havent P+P done this in this past with one of their sales? jacking up the shipping prices to basically nullify the discount from the code. -

PO: The Gaslight Anthem - Handwritten
shat replied to mitchard's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
this is quickly turning into a cluster fuck. now El Jefe is saying there will be more colors once the blue sells out. but if you buy the bundle you are not guaranteed to get blue. maybe just that bundle with the poster and shirt is limited to 200 because in the past i believe the posters El Jefe did for Gaslight Anthem pre-orders were hand numbered. or the distro saying "no guarantees on color" is some business mumbo jumbo they have to say just to cover their own ass. it's also weird how the band has made no announcements about pre-orders for their new record. no mention on twitter, facebook, their website. plus that infinite merch store selling the bundles is not linked on their website either. -

where did you hear or read /200? -
i beg to differ [media=] there are plenty more but this new board only allows two video links per post so i widdled it down to the best two.

if that's the case how did the project ever get released at all. i don't see why if label A owns the rights for a release from a group consisting of people from several other bands whom music rights are owned by label B, label C, label D and so on; why label A would need permission or approval from labels B, C and D to do anything with something they own outright. if their first EP is changing hands frequently i could see that presenting a problem because it was initially released by Stars And Satellites and then re-released by Equal Vision. while it would be a headache getting copies out to all band members, how would it be a problem from a licensing standpoint? and for Tiger and the Duke it should be easier to deal with. isn't only Matt Embree, Chris Tsagakis (Rx Bandits) Anthony Green (Circa Survive) R2K and Derek Doherty (Finch) and Rich Balling (ex-RX Bandits, nothing currently). so only Drive Thru and Equal Vision would need to potentially be dealt with.

I love No Sleep and Topshelf, but goddamn, this looks fucking terrible from an organizational standpoint. It never ceases to amaze me that people in charge of assembling digital downloads never actually CHECK TO SEE WHAT IT WILL LOOK LIKE ON SOMEONE ELSE'S COMPUTER. The bitrate isn't even consistent! I'm no FLAC snob, but don't give me some songs in 192, some in 320, some in VBR, one at 160(!)... Take some pride in your work, man. guess you don't take pride in your work and brush it off as "the internet... ahh phooey"
