How is the 180g black pressing sounding from a surface noise POV? Hoping they treated this with well!

I found the opposite actually! This definitely felt like an Act album to me and I found myself grasping the story probably easier than the other albums. I got obsessed! I think it flows really well from a story POV...you might wanna read some of the thoughts at Lake and the River and it might start joining some of the dots for you. I think the only real 'Migrant' type song is Remembered, but when I hear the line "The flame might be gone but the fire remains' I get all giddy. I didn't LOVE this as a whole until about 5 good listens through and but now I think it's probably my favorite. There is just sooo much here. Can't wait for the Act 1 graphic novel - Casey just teased some more pics on his instagram!

Tempted to re-buy. My copy has serious surface noise the whole way through which completely ruins it and never listen to it as a result. I just bought a Record Doctor V so might give it a super duper clean and see if it improves, if not gonna have to drop for the clear!

I gotta say, the one thing that pisses me off buying OST's is that due to the nature of the music, any bad pressings/surface noise is way more noticeable and totally ruins the experience. I just picked up Max Richter's 'The Leftovers' - $50 AUD for a single LP. The quality seems really great...180g, completely flat..nice clean looking vinyl. 2nd track in and I get severe surface noise that pops up way over the music. This continues sporadically over the duration. Ugh. Had similar issues with others also and really makes me think twice about vinyl for scores.

Man I got worried reading these comments but this track is great! My pre-order ain't going anywhere.

Just got my 2nd copy of this from Amazon and again it's riddled with noise! Both my copies have almost constant scratchy noise and parts that are distorted...really noticeable in the quiet parts. All I want is reasonably clean pressing of the friggin thing.

I saw someone ask on twitter and he replied with a wink so thinking its at least in the works!

I was just gonna grab this from my local on black but that baby blue looks so good. Is the only way to get it with the Tee & Poster bundle?

HECK YES. This track is pure awesome! I'm not sure if it's the Soundcloud quality but I do wish the vocals were a bit louder in the mix.

Got my copy today and just put it on to listen. Unfortunately the first LP has one of those bumps towards the outside that makes the stylus jump up/down and gives you the 'whoosh' sound...dammit! Record was pretty filthy, jacket crap all over it and smear marks but after a clean it sounds ok, a bit of noise. SQ is definitely top notch though - just wish I had a clean copy! Hopefully the second LP is better...

So excited that The Leftovers - Max Richter is out this month. Regardless of your thoughts on the show this soundtrack is amazing and probably the best thing Ibe heard since The Fountain.

Just found these variants on an Aussie site - http://artistfirst.com.au/collections/deafheaven. All the variants show sculptural embossing...hmm! Was going to grab the black but not sure if they'll get in the Eu or the US pressing!

Finally got my copy of Act III from merch direct - took 6 weeks in transit - mustve gone to Egypt! Unfortunately it has the glue defect Anyone have luck getting it off with a wet clean?

How did you get to hear it? So jealous! On a side note, I just received my Act I + II vinyl from Amazon and they sound fantastic - wayyy better than my clear member pressing. Glad I got them!

Tempted for the split & Tee however I have quite a few splits that have noticeable surface noise difference as the needle passes through the difference color. Anyone else notice that? Bloody annoying.

In my excitement for this release I went back and listened to my Lifetime Member Clear Act 1+2 vinyl and didnt realise how unclean a pressing it is. So much noise Decided to buy all the represses while available - hope they sound better!

Yeah it came REAL quick. I guess due to the extended wait on it they shipped it express Fedex - must of cost them a fortune!

Got my copy today. A few corners are slightly dinged but overall not worth complaining over. Seam splits also. Definitely a shame as the quality of evrything is fantastic. Just listened to the records and its miles ahead of the ETR pressing. No wonder considering they squeezed it all on 1 LP. My copy has a few ticks that of course happen in the dead quiet bits. Overall very happy though!
