My old delivery guy was great. We were on a first name basis by the time I moved. He too got curious about all the same sized packages and asked me about them one day and got stoked when I told them they were records. After that he would always tell me about garage sales he went to over the weekend and all the records he saw there. I didn't buy any records for around two months due to bills and he came one day to deliver something to one of my parents and he told me that he had gotten really concerned that something bad had happened. -

I enjoy the wonder years, but I could never get stoked on this record. -
Give Up the Ghost (AN) reissues/reunion
lukeneverhome replied to benchwarmer's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
As far as I'm aware, only the first pressings were titled American Nightmare right? Pretty sure I had a second pressing at one stage that was titled GUTG. -
I'm thinking this is going to end up being a 2xLP. He posted some photos of vinyl being pressed on his tumblr and one side definitely said Camp but the songs listed were off the EP/mixtapes, so I'm thinking it might be a D side. There's not way the whole thing would fit on one side.

I'm moving across the country to be with my girlfriend in a month so I got this sent straight to hers. It turned up today and she sent my photos. Now I have to wait a whole month to even touch it. What's the number for the Wambulance? I'm going to need it. -

Make Do and Mend Acoustic EP

Touche cover is actually so good. This band sounds so good acoustically, it doesn't make sense. -

PO: TOUCHE AMORE "Parting The Sea..." Deluxe LP!!!
lukeneverhome replied to tre's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Just got my copy. Thanks again man. Let me know if you ever need anything. That was pretty quick. Glad it got there all right. No worries man. -
If you're talking about how the minimum wage in America is lower than it is in other places, then fair enough. But if you're talking about dollar for dollar conversion, I think you're missing something. $1USD = $0.97AUD at the moment. So if a 12" costs $10 in America it should cost $9.70 in Australia right? But our 12"s are at least $20. That's $20.64USD. Unless the average Australian record collector is earning twice the amount of the average American record collector, the average American record collector is going to get the better deal. Yeah Europe will be a little different to Australia, but I just felt like doing some simple math.

PO: Give Up The Ghost - Year One Repress

Ordered a red. -
When the name of the band and title are printed facing the wrong way on the spine. It irritates me so much when I'm reading the spines looking for something to play and I come to one that's printed the complete opposite way to all the others. The Gaslight Anthem - '59 Sound and Pianos Become The Teeth - Old Pride are guilty of this.

PO: TOUCHE AMORE "Parting The Sea..." Deluxe LP!!!
lukeneverhome replied to tre's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
But the good news is they have 200 copies and they're only playing 5 shows in Australia. I would be very surprised if vinyl were popular enough over here to sell 40 copies a show. -
PO: TOUCHE AMORE "Parting The Sea..." Deluxe LP!!!
lukeneverhome replied to tre's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
$25 including postage? If the price of LPs on recent tours from US bands is any indication they will be around $20 at the show and postage will be around $15 to America. Sorry man, may have to be prepared to pay a little more for this one. -
The Wonder Years vs Heroes for Hire Split 7"
lukeneverhome replied to putol's topic in Vinyl Collective Message Board
Any 7" put out in Australia will generally cost at least $10. We only have two pressing plants and they're pretty expensive, so most of the work has to be sent overseas. Oh and Heroes For Hire probably aren't your cup of tea if you don't like songs about girls shaking their ass on the dance floor.
