Just saw that the body and full of hell are doing a co headlining tour this spring. Thats gonna be one loud show.

Flipping rules. You get a dumb record in the mail and you send it to somebody who gives you way more money than you paid for it. Win win. I'd do it all the time, but it's a grueling job to trawl forums and twitter looking for whatever children's movie soundtrack or mid-2000s Warped Tour also-ran is most likely to earn high returns. This is just what people do, it's the nature of any hobby with a collectibility element. I can't believe anyone still cares about it.

President's Day depresses me.  No mail = no records

I see too many variants as a disservice to the band. Let's say a label prints five variants for an album. There will be some consumers who just buy one or two, but there are those Pokémon collector types that will buy all five. That's great from the label's perspective as they are selling their product. I'd argue it's bad from the band's perspective as that's four other fans that don't get a copy of the album. It's more music to less people.
That said, if I ever get to release an album for someone, the first press will be on one color and all future presses will be on black. You get some collector nerd fun, it's easy to tell what press is what, and it's easier for all fans to get a copy. My two cents.

Elder is phenomenal live.  Even just listening to their Live At Roadburn LP you get the sense of how good of a show they put on. 

This super limited shit is getting waaaay old. I stopped buying from Riding Easy altogether because of it. I like the way Bongripper does their pressing numbers. Press enough so that the popular choices arent gone in seconds, but press a low enough number to stay in demand and sell out. I refuse to pay exuberant prices for new releases because of the hype train.

I don't hate tests themselves. Specifically I hate that Riding Easy presses like 50+ and then still sells them as "tests" at a higher price.

Yeah, limited to 7 variant is lame. I'm starting to get to the saturation point with this ultra limited shit. There was a time when it was fun and rewarding to get that insanely limited record after refreshing my computer for an hour. Now it's more annoying than anything else. I guess the obvious solution is to just buy the least rare copy.
 
I think, as some of us might admit, it's not JUST about the music. There is that collector thrill about having something that other people cannot get. I wish I didn't have this sickness, but it's been so long it has completely invaded every cell in my body.

Glad to see Kanye is still a clown shoe.

I'm trying to convince myself it doesn't matter that I didn't get a green all while secretly being jealous as fuck because deep down I am collector scum.

I, for one, am incredibly excited for the new Dopethrone album.

I'm over them at this point.
