  1. In N Out is great, but yo should try to hit up Tommy's in LA http://www.yelp.com/biz/tommys-original-world-famous-hamburgers-los-angeles-6#query:tommys%20hamburger From LA up to Norcal you can always detour to Santa Cruz for some wholesome family fun. The boardwalk is on the beach, was featured in Lost Boys, and has a fairly cool giant arcade. After hitting up Amoeba in the Haight, walk down the street to Escape Get a potato pesto slice. http://www.yelp.com/biz/escape-from-new-york-pizza-san-francisco-3#query:Escape%20From%20New%20York%20Pizza Have your parents lend you the car and drive over the Bay Bridge to see a show at 924 Gilman. Lots of history there and stinky bathrooms. You could also visit the lesser Amoeba in Berkeley and 1234 Go. If you were 21 and liked booze I would have so many more recommendations.
  2. I got my fiver grab bag today. The only band I even heard of is Coelesce. Here is the haul: Coalesce- OX Ep grey Murder Contstruct- S/T marlbed black white grey Noisear- Subvert The Dominant trans blue Weapons- Embers And Revelations maroon? Primate- Draw Back A Stump black I'm listening to Coalesce right now and pretty happy I got this deal. Probably should have done the ten.
  3. Really excited for this. I don't have any of their 45's so this was a perfect opportunity for me. The box is just icing on the cupcake.
  4. Just bit the bullet and joined, I've been meaning to anyway. Is the link to Whirr a personal one or can a member share it with me? I can send proof of joining. I just don't know if Graveface will get back to me in time to snag one. PM if you can help. Thanks! Graveface sent me the link. I'm in!!!
  5. Thanks a lot for getting back to me. I look forward to seeing that bright pink record spinning smoothly on my turntable.
  6. I really hope they are Relapse titles. I guess I will find out!
  7. You don't like their first release, "Live Like A F@#king Suicide"? That is my favorite record by them. I was at show in Long Beach when they first got them from the plant and they threw out a bunch of copies to the crowd.
  8. Not having much luck with this record. My Black Numbers package got delivered back to them and today I got a beautiful pink piece of warped plastic from Coffeebreath. I don't understand taking the time to do a sweet screen printed, die-cut cover and then throwing it in a really flimsy cardboard mailer with one piece of bubblewrap to ship overseas? Contrary to what some people believe, bubble wrap doesn't really do shit to protect a record. The cardboard inserts are what give it a fighting chance. I would have paid extra for a couple of inserts. Yay.
  9. This is such a great album. I was listening to "Let The Dominos Fall" by Rancid and then switched it over to Classics and what a difference. Jesse still has all that gritty energy and Rancid sounds like a bunch of old men playing songs on their porch, which is okay, just different.
  10. Has anyone else received their Hospital Ships? At the end of track one mine has a repeating skip. I cleaned it and no luck.
  11. These are shirts I can picture buying for your grandma.
  12. KICKSTARTER = I don't want to work and save money to do my project, so you pay for it all and you will get some stuff that you are basically buying at an inflated price, because I am too lazy/entitled.
  13. It said a couple times that it added it to my cart, no "not available" pop up and yet nothing was in my cart. Grrrr.
  14. I bought the acri plat for performance and for looks. On my piano black plinth it just pops and makes the table look sweet. I used a cork mat on my last turntable and didn't notice any difference in static or sound, plus it looked like a giant wine cork was on my table. It's definitely the cheaper way to go though if you're hearing a noticeable improvement.
  15. I was surprised that they sat around for so long. Great album. I got the Best Friends lp too and I remember it took a long time to finally get it shipped to me.
  16. That works out. Maybe I ordered that one, though I have a feeling I ordered the 180. It will be a fun surprise.
  17. Those look pretty sweet. I can't even remember what I ordered. Want that sub splatter.
  18. I bought from you guys and overseas. Not complaining about not having it yet, just saying if you wanna sucker me into buying a bunch of variants, space those releases out .
  19. I'd guess the only reason is because so many variants were released at the same time. I bought 4 different copies and don't have any in hand yet, it makes it difficult to justify buying another copy of a record I'm waiting for. Just looking forward to spinning what's already ordered.
  20. I have a Marantz 2245 and really enjoy the warm sound. I have it with a Pro-ject Carbon and some Sony bookshelf speakers that are inexpensive, but well reviewed. Those will be my next upgrade though. Like Slinch said, make sure you buy it from a reputable person unless you're getting it for really cheap. It's worth it to pay a little more if you know it's already been newly serviced. I learned that the hard way.
  21. I paid for my three variants of the ape about 2 days ago and it hasn't arrived yet with no shipping notification. I'm kinda worried now and am wondering if apes can be sent media or does it need to go priority? If anyone bought an extra ape please hit me up and I will pay cost plus a little extra for your troubles.
  22. This band takes "entitled" to a whole new amazing level. I really wanted to see only HRVRD on this tour, but now I'm just going to skip it. I don't want one cent of my money to go to Eisley.
