  1. I really like both of these artists/groups separately. On first listen, I'm not so sure it's working together, for me. If it gets people to discover the other artist's material that they hadn't listened to before, then it is a success.
  2. Carcass- Heartwork on sky blue http://lastrightsrecords.storenvy.com/products/1810639-carcass-heartwork-claret-red-or-sky-blue-vinyl I heard that this is the one I need to check out. Thank you very much for another round of mystery and fun!
  3. I don't think we are missing the real point of the OP. Eminem= good. New album coming out on Universal= buy it so my boss will be happy.
  4. You and the Korn thread guy should get together and go bowling. Can you tell us more about this Eminem and his new album?
  5. I am on the fence between the Epos Epic 2 and the Wharfdale Diamond 10.1 speakers. I know that the Epos are hugely discounted on the above link, but that doesn't necessarily mean they sound better. Anyone try out both? Keep in mind I am using a Marantz 2245 and Project Carbon in a relatively small room like the OP.
  6. Missed out on all the rarer colors and bought the deluxe. After hearing the new song I broke down and bought the cyan too, so I don't have to wait until November to spin this. Damnit!
  7. I gave it a listen and still stand by my original comments, but this ep isn't that bad. "What Goes Boom" is the closest to sounding like a Pixies song and it is screaming out for some Kim. The ep does sound more like a Pixies influenced bad which isn't a band thing necessarily. Either way, not good enough to warrant the purchase.
  8. Yeah, I needed to get drunk after listening to that shat. To say "Bagboy" sounds like "vintage" Pixies is an insult to their glorious past. The "Indie Cindy" song is okay, but I think the glory days are long gone. I guess we will see what else they can come up with.
  9. This record is so good. When I was at a party this weekend I had some people come out to my car for a listening party and they were digging it. I look forward to seeing her live.
  10. Aww, sometimes when you've been drinking you forget to read. Bought it thinking it was for the original. I guess I will find out if I'm bummed when I get it!
  11. Got my expensive dork bundle today and finally listening to the album. Great record so far. I've been listening to Unknown Rooms non-stop this past week, so getting this new record just made my weekend. I also ordered early enough to get a signed copy(geek out).
  12. You're lucky you even got cardboard. There must be some sort of cardboard shortage in Europe? Once I got a record carefully packaged in one sheet of newspaper. About 90% of the records I order from Europe seem like they were packaged by a monkey with a head injury.
  13. I do need to pick this up sometime. Wish I had all the originals, but that adds up these days. I am lucky enough to have The Bags, X, and The Wierdos, which are my favorite of the bunch. Not a big fan of Black Randy.
  14. I don't know how many people on this board will dig this, but if you want to stretch out and try something new, check it out. My "best" description is Nick Cave, The B-52's, and Meatloaf get stuck in an elevator and decide to start a dramatic 50's band. Sometimes the guy sings and sometimes the gal. Record purchase comes with instant DL. They are also a great band to see live. Stream and buy here... http://jailweddings.bandcamp.com/album/meltdown-a-declaration-of-unpopular-emotion
  15. Kassxuderitz' TOP THREE MOST STRESSFUL THINGS IN MY WHOLE NINETEEN YEARS OF LIVING: 1. Waiting and waiting to order a Touche Amore record. 2. Finding the perfect punk blouse at Hot Topic, but not in MY size! 3. My parents wouldn't get me the new iPhone and like every kid in school had one. My mom even said she might make me get an Android. OMG!
  16. Kids have it rough these days. This kid is really going to cry and wee wee their pants once they join the real world.
  17. Doing my best to hold off until my record arrives. "On or around" we will see how much around the stated time of shipping it will be.
  18. Mammoth Grinder Obsessed With Death 7 incher from Deathwish store http://deathwishinc.com/estore/product/HMHM-7002v.html Got their new album and it's a monster. Want to check their other stuff out! Thanks!!!
  19. I hope this doesn't suck too bad. I've been wanting to buy some Carcass and blind bought the green. Any suggestions for their "best" record?
  20. Someone, besides me, should compile everything Tre said in this thread and put it into one post. The secrets of the universe will most likely be revealed.
  21. Thank you for the 2000. Now people who really want it to enjoy the album and artwork won't have to poopoo their pants to try and get one.
  22. Seems like someone from the label commented in the comments for that video. They need this feedback and that guy in the video is exactly right. I unsubscribed from the Relapse newsletter and wrote the reason. If enough people backlash against this maybe they will stop doing it. Or I guess you could just spend a ton of money on a onesie and 40 oz beer coozie.
  23. This is the exact type of crap that is making me buy less records. All these excessive variants all at once and lame bundles becoming the norm. I think the onesie in a bundle takes the cake for trying way too hard. I would have normally bought this record and now I'm not motivated to buy it at all.
  24. Looks like Marriages got their apartment burglarized in April and now they are doing an Indie Go Go to help them replace their stuff. This definitely sucks, but why should fans pay for their troubles in life? Maybe it's just me, but this shit has gotten out of hand. We all have rough spots and financial setbacks, but bands asking fans to pay for things like a nice tour bus so they can tour with their kids or to help them because their place got broken into just seems like entitled bs. I'm an artist with a decent fanbase, so maybe I need to start an online begging campaign to pay of all of my debt. Maybe I'm just heartless in my contempt for this stuff, but if you needed a heart transplant, then I'd contribute. http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/marriages-maliciously-burglarized-and-displaced
