  1. Yep, agreed. I am a sucker for Misfits stuff even though it can be rightly argued that this isn't the Misfits. I just listened to the download and...uh... I wonder if we should start a Kickstarter to pay Glen or Graves to come back and record for the Misfiits. They seem to be starting those things for the stupidest projects anyway, why not do it for something worthwhile.

  3. Lake Merritt is a cool area. I like going to Heart and Dagger Saloon. I always seem to be sitting next to Matt Pike when I go there.
  4. I left SF about 8 years ago when I got tired of driving around my neighborhood for 20 minutes trying to find a place to park, people on buses who don't use deodorant or shower water, and HIGH rent prices. I am in Oakland now and it is THE place in the bay area to live. It's got its rough spots, but there is a burgeoning bar/restaurant/club scene, cool record stores, lots of uncrowded shoreline areas, close hiking spots in the Oakland hills, and the rent is reasonable. If you need any more "insider" info on cool places to go etc. PM me.
  5. I have done some dj work and yeah I was nervous the first couple times. You just need to have all of your records together and know where everything is. I didn't do much beatmatching, I just felt the vibe of the crowd and rocked it. There are some djs who just play what they like and wonder why no one is dancing or paying attention. I always tried to play stuff people knew and then snuck in stuff that I thought they should know. A good balance is the key. Have fun!
  6. Couldn't afford it, but couldn't hold out. Now I get to blast it on the way to work tomorrow!
  7. I have to say that is pretty damn amazing he actually brought it for you. I definitely wouldn't have held my breath for that. We should have gotten the extra tracks.
  8. After listening to that stream I really want this record. Solid. I wonder if Panic has any of the Blood Red left? Either way, I need to get this some time.
  9. I don't care that much about the limited to 250 clear/clear vinyl, I just can't wait to get the journal so I can fill it with important thoughts about Justin Beiber. Also the tote bag will come in handy when I skip to school...
  10. Thanks a lot for posting this! I used someone's link, forgot who, but hope it helped. If anyone else needs a link to use, it would be very much appreciated. TANKS! http://livingsocial.com/deals/100335?ref=personalized-link-box-23030797&rpi=23030797
  11. Social Distortion and their new crap album. I've been a fan since Mommy's Little Monster first came out and have accepted their "growth" throughout the years, but I took two listens to the new album(bought two diff vinyl colors) and shelved it. Then, I sold my tickets for the show. Maybe I am a bad fan, but I couldn't stand listening to that shit live.

  14. Great seller 5tefan. Quuuuick shipping and good prices.
  15. Buy his stuff. This guy ships quick and has fair prices. Thanks a lot!
  16. No "hemp" sleeve, just a slim jewel case. Yeah, I understand it was to help them out on the tour. It just seems that they didn't really divide the stuff equitably. You might not be too stoked if you got the half-assed package I got. If you want to trade me your stuff for mine just let me know!
  17. Yeah, I got a dvd and a song sampler cd, not even a full release cd. No vinyl. I really couldn't have gotten a shittier package. Well at least someone from the board got something cool. I am going to use my shit as frisbees. Bitter.
  18. Got my haul from Hostage. The Junk- 4 cover variants Smogtown- silkscreened art damage cover and regular edition The Junk-art damage edtion Smogtown- TES PRESS edition Smogtown- DICKtoria edition 1/35 with hand stenciled Nixon cover The Pushers- Hand stenciled cover edition of their Fishnets 45. I think there were less than 20 of these made. Stoked. In case you don't already have them, Hostage is having this deal on their two vinyl comps both for $16 US shipped. Fans of old California punk like Shattered Faith, The Crowd, Simpletones, Social Distortion, TSOL, etc., will dig these newer bands- SMUT PEDDLERS, THE CROWD, THE FAKES, THE DRIPS, THE MAIN, THE DECLINE, THE PEGS, D-CUP, SMOGTOWN, BROKEN BOTTLES, CIRIL, DAMAGED GOODS and more. Some great stuff. http://www.hostagerecords.com/hostage_records/DEALS_AND_STEALS.html
  19. That video was pretty funny, though I don't think it was meant to be. When I am checking out a new band I really want to mostly just hear them talking and looking down at cue cards to remember what they are supposed to say. Fuck the music!
