  1. I wouldn't say I wrote them off, but I didn't investigate Touche Amore for a while because I thought they were some sort of froofy electronica lounge band. Obviously, not. Also felt that way when I saw the name Junius, it sounded like some electronic club music. Wrong again. Now, whenever I see a thread about someone that I've never heard of, I just check them out to be sure that they suck as much as their name. I love it when I am wrong.
  2. It looks like the the beer/fried egg version is sold out. They still have the clear though which is limited to 100. I got a notification that my band version has shipped. Anyone got their Sheath version?
  3. There are actually three dog variants 1/1. I had to pay a little extra, but they all came with their own LD poopbags. This one is a little stubborn and he drinks all my whisky, so you may see him on ebay soon.
  4. So, has anyone received the elusive flip top version? I'm wondering if they even pressed it. Maybe the delay was because the pressing plant just pressed one white version and one black.
  5. yeah i'm kinda doubting this will even happen anymore That would really suck. I felt lucky that I jumped in to get the lathe cut. I hope they don't drop the ball on this one.
  6. Mine arrived today. The photo prints and the photo book are pretty cool. Still feel like I didn't need the tote bag, diary, stickers... I'm just a sucker for the most limited pressing so I "had" to get all the other crap. It is a fairly creative package though.
  7. ^Judging by your earlier post, I ordered mine before you, but you might get lucky. I did look at the site and there is a picture of only a black one and a white one, so who knows?
  8. Fuck it pisses me off when I don't get what I paid for. When I ordered this it didn't say anything about the black white one being sold out. Now I got a regular white one that I'm sure would have cost a lot less than $9 at a store. Nine bucks for a 45.
  9. Just streamed the Descent 2 and it was actually pretty good. Lots of surprises... Jumping in on the original vs Rob versions of Halloween debate, I was also pissed when I found out Zombie was remaking them, not another fucking rehash because Hollywood can't invent anything new(Footloose?). I ended up watching the new ones and was surprised that I liked them. I just view the originals and the remakes as completely different movies and my mind is at peace.
  10. Maybe, but I used to always go to Bagatelle in Long Beach, CA and they would always have many boxes of unpriced records on the floor. This was because they just got so much stuff in all the time they couldn't keep up. The owner wasn't a dick though and I pulled some rare Blue Note records that he priced way under "market". My friend pulled original Misfits 45's for $10 a pop. This still keeps me up at night.
  11. Looks like it's on sale now. Damn, I should have just bought the pink and waited. Much more reasonable price now. Great record, but I guess sometimes it pays to wait... http://cliftonmotel.bigcartel.com/product/mansions-dig-up-the-dead
  12. Crap, someone stop me from ordering again. Three different orders at DW today! Addiction.
  13. I'm wondering if this is a one time event or if it will be like the never ending Pixies reunion. I will most likely drive down to Socal but my lazy ass just wants to see them in the bay area later.
  14. That must be the "tour" version that they didn't have on their tour. Thanks for posting, I needed another damn variant! I agree that Martyrdom is still the best. I think I like it more because there are less vocals. The vocals are great, I just think the balance should lean more on the instrumental side. Definitely one of my newest favorite bands.
  15. I jumped in. Keep in mind that the only one that is 180 gram is Bad As Me. I thought the others were too, but my mistake. Bad As Me alone is going for $20, so I figured 10 bucks each for the other two isn't a bad deal.
  16. So, it sounds like they are going to take your money now and then see what they get. You may get a record or you may get a refund. Pre order? Isn't this kind of missing the point of an RSD event- to actually go to an independent bricks and mortar record store and support them?
  17. When I opened a new account they held the money until I received postive feedback from the buyer. It is bullshit. Ebay is a monopoly that needs to be dismantled. I have bought a couple records on discogs and they have been good transactions.
  18. So, will the regular vinyl version have more songs than the lathe-cut? Purple Rain was a separate download. That would be perfect to include it and do the purple vinyl though.
  19. Two artists who did great things in THE PAST deciding to get together always stinks of desperation. Give up and die with some dignity.
  20. Wasn't into that video. The song is great, but the script must have been written by a 4th grader. It would have been better if it was all just them performing. Their cover of "Purple Rain" is surprisingly cool. I hate when bands do covers and they pretty much sound like the original. These guys put a nice spin on it. Worth the dollah to download.
  21. Yeah, I was really surprised. When "young pop" and "infectious" are used I am usually already done. I ended up getting the last lathe. Looking forward to spinning it.
