  1. Anyone even remotely interested in monsters- vampires, werewolves, and zombies, should check out David Wellington's novels. This is not some tween hunky monster party or the Anne Rice romanticized version of the vampire. His books are also not a graphic novel without pictures- I've read some of those. They are gritty with well researched(at least it seems so) historical details, though set in modern times. Haven't been disappointed with anything by him yet. You can read on his site http://www.davidwellington.net/
  2. Those amazon samples are like letting you sniff a beer and not even getting a sip. I am excited that Mazzy Star is releasing something again. Not really into Hope's solo stuff.
  3. Shot in the dark but... Do you know Jojo? Doesn't sound familiar. Though, I did a lot of hallucinogens and booze back then. I remember Janes being raw as f*ck in those early days, you can hear it on their first album, no not Nothing's Shocking. Saw them later at the first Lolla and it just wasn't the same.
  4. I once watched Janes from backstage at an LA club called Scream with the bassist from the Cult. We were all on acid. Good times for all.
  5. I don't know if this was posted yet ??? A remix of the Arrows album by ARC. Free download too! "Years in the making and finally seeing the light of day, this 8 track LP features members of Caspian, Beware of Safety, Arms & Sleepers, Constants and many more reinterpreting select tracks from the 2009 debut full length by Actors&Actresses "Arrows". With art direction, design and layout handled by N.Shumaker/Northernlightsindustries.com, only 207 were pressed on vinyl. You can download the 14 track digital version for free RIGHT HERE. Saddle up bucko, we's goin' for a riiiide..." http://www.mylenesheath.com/catalog.html?&Vl=32&Tp=2 Black is a slight bit more "rare", but the yellow looks cooler.
  6. How about these 3 releases then: From FEAR, a one-time pressing exclusive 7" of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" (acoustic) b/w "Another Christmas Beer." The first full-length release of all-new, original material in nearly a decade from the Misfits. "The Devil's Rain" features limited edition variant covers. 7" split between All That Remains and Jasta (Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed/Kingdom of Sorrow) with artwork by Mike D of Killswitch Engage. Limited to 1000. So, from a band that once releasead a 45 called, "FUCK Christmas", now they are wishing me a "merry" one? I hope that's a joke, because if it isn't it just IS.
  7. so a bunch of re-released crap that never went out of print and no one asked for, cool! I hope they release a complete Jethro Tull 10" boxset limited to 5,000. That would make this even more buttclench exciting.
  8. Clock lame. I actually want to listen to the record, crazy huh. Thanks for posting this. I saw some acoustic versions on youtube a while back and wondered why they hadn't put an acoustic release out. Should be a good one.
  9. I would definitely try and write him. hopefully he will make it right. I had a problem with a warped record from No Idea and they sent me out a new on right away. Another reason why No Idea rules!
  10. Got this email from No Sleep on Thursday the 6th- "You recently ordered a Deluxe Edition of Wildlife from La Dispute from our webstore and i wanted to update you on the status of this! We are currently still waiting on various aspects (including a handful of the vinyl which we are still waiting for) that are to go inside this, but once it arrives we will be assembling these ASAP and we will get them out the door right away! xxx, Chris No Sleep "

  12. The extra 12" is a collection of their other releases on 7" and 10". This limited edition is great and will destroy your speakers. Get it before it's gone!

  14. It would have been better to have more songs, but according to the posting the total time for both songs is around 18 minutes. That is about the length of many hardcore albums and people don't complain about that. Just lift off the needle and put it back down and make as many songs as you want.

  16. Pretty happy with mine, nothing too crazy or special, but different colors. One is green and the other is a purple/maroon.

  18. +1 for posting this. I think I may have snagged the last one.
  19. Bought a 45 I have been searching for from fourfourtwo Excellent packing, quick shipping and good communication all adds up to a damn solid seller.
  20. Thanks for putting this up. I hope I get different colors. When I ordered the Converge split Bong Edition from Kings Road, both copies were exactly the same.
  21. This is really cool that it is being repressed for those who don't have it yet. Do I need yet another copy of this record...probably not. My new max for variants has to be 5. It's stupid that I would even buy 5 of the same record, but at least it is a a controlled obsession.
  22. My dad says that back in the 80's when he was working at a record store most single LP's were about $8 new. In the early 80's I would generally pay $5.99 for most domestic releases. When it went to $7.99 I was pissed. And then came those shiny little silver discs that unrealistically fucked up the whole pricing scale. Records cost more today because things cost more. Milk just isn't a nickel anymore. Damn.
  23. Damn that was good. I would be pissed if that was my car though. Thanks for posting this.
  24. For those interested--- "Back in 2007 FDH released the first and only full length record from Jay Reatard’s harsh electropunk project Terror Visions. "World of Shit" was a collection of songs recorded between 2002 and 2006 as a outlet for songs Jay wrote that didnt fit with his current projects (Lost Sounds, Angry Angles, Jay Reatard). The record was released as a picture disk LP and CD limited to 1000 copies each. Within months we ran out of the LP’s and had only had the CD available. We are very excited to announce a re-release of this record on vinyl. This reissue is really more of a band complete discography then a reissue. It collects the entire World of Shit album (including 2 tracks that were originally CD only tracks), as well as the 2 tracks that were never released, one original and one Brian Eno cover (Baby’s on Fire). For this reissue we had new artwork put together for a gatefold cover including a stack on uncirculated pictures of Jay. We went with 180 Gram black vinyl and had the tracks remastered to greatly improve the quality over the picture disk from a few years back. As of now we are taking pre orders for this record. The records official release date will be Dec 6th, however we expect having the records in hand in late Oct and will mail all preorders out before the official release date. Also as a incentive FDH will be putting anyone that preorders a record into a drawing for many different items listed below.
