  1. I'm not seeing anything for whatever the 300 red vinyl is. Could someone post up a little more info on what it is and how they saw it?
  2. I can't believe I got one using my stupidphone. It was pretty painless.
  3. I used to live in the city, but don't really go there much anymore. When I do go, I hang out at my friend's bar http://smugglerscovesf.com/trapdoor/. The best craft cocktails with an emphasis on rum. The Mission area also has a lot of cutting edge restaurants, taquerias, and good places for imbibing. Over the bridge in Oakland there is a lot to offer as well. If you like beer, Beer Revolution in downtown Oakland has an insane selection of hard to find beers on tap and in bottles. They are usually playing punk over the sound system. Many other great bars within walking distance of there including the historic Heinhold's Last Chance Saloon where Jack London used to drink. Great food places from fancy shmancy to taco trucks and bacon wrapped hotdogs. Obviously, I am biased for the East Bay.
  4. A seller on discogs seemed to have a bunch of copies for a while. He said he had some sort of connection to the band and mine wasn't numbered. I guess I could write "1" in there and it is very rare! Anyway look on discogs. If no luck, pm me and I could find out his info for you to write him.
  5. ^ That Mansions "Dig Up The Dead" album is really damn nice. I am surprised that it hasn't sold out yet considering how few they pressed. Sometimes I get tired of hearing screaming(sometimes) and the chill vibe of that record helps me mix it up.
  6. The picture is a 45 I purchased directly from the band. It is not lathe cut. The last I heard, the lathe cut lps are being cut and by now should be almost ready to ship... I would hope.
  7. Those were great pics. Man, that place looked dangerously packed with people.
  8. Pretty soon we'll be hearing that American Nightmare is playing again... :
  9. Got some records in the mail from enjoyadrian and icecream also rivalsandlovers Quick shipping and good guys to deal with. Thanks!
  10. I put a Deathwish list together so I got GUTG- We're Down and Background Music on 180 gm. So now I have 4 copies of each, but I know that I would regret not having the 180. Also got the red version of Parting the Sea. It was cool to get some jazz, Freddie Hubbard "Goin Up" on 180 gm 45 rpm. On a side note, our family plans got changed and we ended up at our friend's house for xmas. They had an expedit filled with records that belonged to relatives. They didn't even really know what was there, so I asked if I could browse them. Just a bunch of junk 60's jazz like original pressing on Prestige, Status, Black Jazz, Impulse, Saba, etc... and many of them sealed. It was painful to see it all and know that I wasn't buying them. I had to stop looking through them because I saw so much stuff I wanted.
  11. My family is from Hawaii, so I have been going there all of my life. Maui is very chill, not many great food places that I know of, more of the nature thing. Oahu can be cool and annoying. If you've never been, I would totally recommend going there for a night or two. I have a secret place in downtown Waikiki that is barebones, but cheap. You can walk to the beach(pm me for the name, I don't remember what the hell it's called). It's very touristy in Waikiki, but it can be fun. The Shorebird is an awesome beachfront open air restaurant. It's grill it yourself. Totally recommend a moonlight swim in the ocean after your meal. IF you want to splurge, the luau at the Royal Hawaiian(big pink hotel) is the best and completely worth it. I would also recommend going to Leonard's Malasadas, La Mariana Tiki Bar, and Ono's Hawaiian Foods. Ala Moana Park Beach is the best uncrowded beach in that area. My favorite island is the Big Island. I could go on for days about cool stuff to do there, though night swimming with manta rays was unforgettable.
  12. The lathes are apparently being cut right now. Got this 45 of "Choking" in the mail today!
  13. I saw the new version today and it was good. There are things I like about the original and the new one, so I couldn't say that one is necessarily better than the other. I was really looking forward to the music, but it didn't stand out. Maybe I was just too wrapped up in the story.
  14. That was a really cool interview. I never got to see them live and won't be able to make these shows, so I was just hoping and waiting for you to ask them if they will play more than these two. I have a feeling though that you might already know the answer... I am hoping for another chance.
  15. I emailed them and they said they were going to forward the request to the label...not holding my breath Hi, I'm sorry that the CD album was not accompanied with the bundle. I am happy to provide your requested replacement. I have created your Service Order: <>. I got this response today- Hi, I'm sorry that the bonus disc was missing from the set. We'll be happy to send you a replacement for the missing one. I've forwarded your replacement request to our warehouse department. You can expect the replacement to be shipped shortly. Sincerely, Sony Music Digital C1E8 Noah Yeah, we'll see.
  16. Has anyone seen the white in their local store? I went to my locals with no success.
  17. Did anyone ever get the cd that was supposed to come with this? I wrote them with no response and now just wrote them again. If you didn't get the cd you should write them and maybe they will fix this. I just wanna be able to also listen to this in my car.
  18. same here Mine are opaque yellow and clear orange, different.
  19. A frosted or opaque clear(?) would look really cool as well. I don't think I've seen that "color".
  20. The only thing that makes this sound appealing is the possibility of a Fucked Up or Ceremony 45. Oh, and maybe the LA Guns...
  21. My record was waiting for me when I got home. Highly recommended. If you can snag one of the remaining blue copies, get it or regret it. I'm definitely looking forward to the next album.
  22. raddest. third. grade. teacher. ever. Thanks man, I try to make it fun. We sing "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" by the Lips and also do "I Don't Wanna Be No Personal Pizza" by Personal. I work in a neighborhood where rap is mostly the mainstay, so having a bunch of kids heehaw dancing to "Jackson" by Johnny and June is pretty cool. I always make them a cd comp if they finish their winter vacation work packet and one year I put "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden and also "Back In Black" on there. I'm sure their parents were annoyed. I wonder what I should put on there this year?
  23. Third grade teacher. I make my kids listen to music they wouldn't hear. I was blasting the Sword yesterday and we sing songs by the Flaming Lips and Personal and the Pizzas. I can only buy records because I have a sugarmama who makes a lot more money than I do. At least I get those summers.
