  1. Got mine as well. #501. If the one two before mine was color I'd think that was pretty hilarious.
  2. I saw them in stock online somewhere but can't remember where. When I'm home from Easter BS I'll look into it. I wise RSE vinyl wasn't criminally overpriced. Hard to justify $15 for 4 songs.
  3. Every time I see this set I get the itchy trigger finger before remembering that I already have all these records except Into the Unknown. A 180g upgrade probably would have forced my hand by now, but damn do I want the box!
  4. I like the first single from the last album but none of the rest really stuck with me. I'll buy this on former glory cred alone but will probably wait until it's in-hand somewhere. No reason to preorder this.
  5. I signed up for the BSM and JEW newsletters weeks ago to make sure I got a notification about the color copies. I'm glad they held on to some black to thwart flippers, but it does make me wonder if any physical stores were denied allocation because of the holdouts.
  6. This is like RSD part 2. Ordered Frank Turner on white, Alk3 on red and Refused on blue and Jane Doe on yellow since I haven't heard a Converge album in 10 years. This is kickass. (Unless these have been back in the store for months and I'm just now seeing them, in which case I am a dweeb).
  7. One more backer for Dr. Strange here. Next to Asian Man and Burning Airlines, they were tops in the mid 90s and get unending cred from me. Sorry you had a bad experience though!
  8. I was referring to the crushed sleeves. Anyone's online copies have jacked corners?
  9. My girlfriend just noticed the same thing at the mall she works at. Did a giant record nerd boner crushing machine get ahold of all of these?!
  10. Is that Art Monk Construction?! Didn't know they were still around! Now where's Self-Starter Foundation's eBay account...
  11. I've been checking this thread every day and I missed the eBay link. D'oh!
  12. If the sticker said "download code" you got a second or third press. First press had no mention of download code on the sticker.
  13. If anyone wants to see what a sealed first press looks like, this guy (not me) is selling one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Modest-Mouse-Good-news-People-Love-Bad-News-/330554527665?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item4cf695cfb1 Second press had a different sticker on sleeve (which I presume the new ones share).
  14. I would add Here She Comes Now, but otherwise flawless. I'd prefer more tracks not previously available on vinyl, but I would love to have a bunch of rarities in one place. Plus the self titled comp w/ You Know You're Right isn't super easy to find anymore...
  15. My copy of the Wipers set is color but they made (ironically) 6000 of those too! The only boot I have is the Smells Like Nirvana one and it has the fucking incredible electric studio version of Something In the Way but it's a shitball boot and the song cuts in at the beginning (as do all the tracks on that single). The original Hoarmoaning EP has been on my Nirvana list right below Love Buzz and Bleach on white for the past 15 years. Figured I'd be rich by now so I'd have them. As it happens, I'm selling that Wipers box to pay for food and rent. Funny how that works out.
  16. As someone who was converted to Thursday solely by "Jet Black New Year," I'm probably not the best judge of what this band is capable of. I just keep waiting for them to rock that hard again because I know they can do it if they want to and don't understand why anyone would want to rock less. I guess that explains why I get out of a lot of bands though. A song or album will hit me at the right time and place and nothing else will ever compare but I still get disappointed because I know they're capable of it. It's as much about me changing as the band changing, I know, but I can't shake it. Sorry I just Doogie Howser'd this thread!
  17. I'm still not 100% sold on this record. I keep waiting for it to rock really hard but it just gets more lilty and Godspeed-y with every track. Maybe it's unfair to expect maturing bands to get harder since it never seems to happen. Anyway, the clear is /1000, right? Curious if I should pick it up now or hold off. I prefer the etching on the clear to the one on my white and might swap it out at some point.
  18. There are 2 OG versions, the gatefold and the non-gatefold. I have one but I can't remember which. Do you care?
  19. Don't think it's limited, since it's not listed as such on the RSD-list: http://download.recordstoreday.com/free/RSD_2011_RELEASES.pdf I didn't think so. Maybe I'll wait for another sale then. Besides, Marilyn Manson's version of "Down In the Park" is far superior.
