Maybe specific Amazon warehouses? My purchases from Amazon were mostly good with the occasional dish.
My bet is on bad QC at the plants. They are slammed and today’s thicker vinyl needs more time to cool and it doesn’t always get that time, but who knows?
Another thought is vinyl has always had problems. Warps, surface noise, wear. They always have, and always will be a part of being a vinyl user. Sounds like you are just getting unlucky.

Seems that way alright. Ordered the HotStuff one though after reading complaints about the Loma Vista pressing of the original release.
The Hot Stuff appears to have extra vinyl, but that tour book from the LV release sounds awesome, too. I have a red smoke Prequelle (LV pressing) and i don’t remember any issues with it. I haven’t listened to it in a long time though.

Both sets have some cool stuff the other doesn’t.

Patience pays off. Got a box set for $163 shipped via deepdiscount with the 15% coupon. Figured it was the cheapest option
Good price. A purchase I just made from DD took forever to ship but it was packed very well and arrived in perfect shape.

womp womp. thanks for letting me know, I still haven't heard back from them.
No problem. I’m not really concerned about it. It was cool to hear a different cut of the album. It’s funny how some slight EQ changes can give a different perspective to the sound. This cut can be cranked!

ROG didn’t ship my Bloody Kisses by release day so I’m asking to cancel. It’s pretty lame when a local store has them in stock but the label webstore doesn’t ship by release day. The 2LP stand alone BK appears to be the same color as the RSD 3LP. It would have been nice to have a different color, but not a huge deal. As stated on the ROG site, it is the exact same cut as the RSD 3LP, so it sounds great.
I hope they recut all the albums with the same quality for the NMN box.

Finally got this. Red/white smash.

New song kind of just sounds like Sorceress 2. I liked Sorceress, so that’s not bad, but it’s not what I had hoped. The single also reminds me of Cusp of Eternity in that it’s a solid song but just kind of plain and not doing anything for me. Mikael did say that all the songs are different and this was a clear single, so the rest of the album could be different. We’ll see.
On the positive side, the lead guitar, especially the solo, is great. Frederick is a monster. I love the combination of technical power and nuanced emotion.

Gonna need to hear at least 1 song before ordering this. Aren't they due to make an album that is a little more metal and a little less prog? Please?
I would love another album more in between both sides, like Ghost Reveries. It doesn’t even need growls, just more metal.

thanks.... grabbed the boxset... tempted with the swedish flag looking one.. but boxset is enough
Yeah I bought a couple of Sorceress copies, but I don’t usually do that so I stuck to just the boxset on this one.

Nice! Thank you! Had to snatch up that Mailorder Boxset!

True, but I think at least when Tobias uses that language he's talking about subject matter. Prequelle is dark as fuck thematically in many ways.
Okay, yes, I can see that. I was talking musically.

Every Ghost album is always rumored to be "darker" than the one before it. I doubt it will be any poppier than Prequelle, though I still love that one.
I’ve never heard that about Ghost albums and obviously don’t believe that to be true in the least. While Prequelle has some highs, it’s my least favorite album as a whole. Meliora is my favorite.
-
Not sure why, as I didn’t need another copy (I do love this record though), but I bought one from deep discount. I heard they were a bit slow and lazy about shipping and I haven’t heard a peep yet.
I wonder if the next Ghost record will try to go even poppier. I hope not. I think Meliora was Ghost at its best. Just enough pop in the rock and metal.

If anyone sees these pop up in EU stores/distros, I’d love to hear it
It’s on the Nuclear Blast site under pre-orders, if that helps you.

A: adults who can budget.
Just busting your balls a bit, but not singling you out specifically – $200 is a fair chunk of change, but “you” would probably be better suited with a cheaper hobby if it’s too tough to predict whether or not there will be $200 available in a checking account, 2-3 months out. That’s wild to me but I see it happen quite a bit. I am not wealthy nor am I sitting on a surplus of disposable income I can throw around and forget about, but I can’t imagine hypothetically starving myself because I need new car brakes the same time this boxset drops.
People can shit on me for trying to lord over how people spend their money, whatever. I stand by it. PayPal Credit and chipping away at it monthly is the way to do it, anyway. I think you chose wisely.
Based on the above quote, I’m going to guess you’ve never known anyone that worked as a bank teller, and all the people you know are very responsible with money. My wife worked as a bank teller for s few years and she couldn’t believe the number of people that would come in to discuss their MULTIPLE overdraft fees.
On the subject of the multiple reissues of Bloody Kisses lately. I also ordered the stand alone BK from ROG thinking I was helping to encourage the release of the other records. I guess it worked? And while more TON is never a bad thing, I don’t think I need 4 copies of BK.

What's the advantage of ordering via Bullmoose vs. Runout Groove?
I think it’s also Bullmoose points.

Says it right on the page...9/6
Yeah, it does now, but at first it was blank.
-
No release date listed.
Edit: now it says 9/6/19
also the two disk BK is delayed into mid July.
-
Okay. So new cover for the box. Nice. I would bet that all of these are recut... maybe? I would also think they would say that if the were, though. Hmmmm. Bloody Kisses will almost certainly be the new ROG groove cut, so are the others new cuts too, or using the original stampers?
New cuts of all the records would be awesome as the ROG BK sounds great.
-
Awesome. I bought it without reading any details. Ha!
Im sure this will appear, if there are any left after online preorders, in any store that sells the other Run Out Groove titles, so check your local store to make sure.
Now to go back to the ROG page to get the deets...

He's played the majority of the songs live on the last tour, so just youtube the track titles to get an idea.
Also, that bonus track was previously known as Two Feet off the Ground when played live, if you want to know what that sounds like too.
Thank you! I’ll check it out.

Any idea what this may sound like? I liked some of the more traditional songs on the Suspiria soundtrack, but ultimately didn’t think I’d listen to it all that often. If this has more stuff like the single from Suspiria then I may want to jump on this.

I’ll be open about it. If someone is bothering someone else, the person being bothered should block the individual doing the bothering and report it to the mods. End of story. Encouraging further bothering by repeatedly responding in threads, calling names, and then crying victim is ridiculous and is just as responsible for thread derailing and closures as the alleged bothering.
I want ant to say more, but I don’t think I need to.
