I think there were 2,200 presses and that seemed like a lot. I didn't think it'd become sought after since there were so many different variants.
2,200 is not a lot for a band the size of Metallica.

What is it supposed to be?
Edit: Okay. Just read up on it.

I apologize for bumping this thread, but I figured this was the most fitting page for this post. Somewhere on VC (I think this thread actually) someone posted about Amazon UK having copies of the RSD version of Coheed's Good Apollo. Well I ordered a copy and long story short it got lost in transit somewhere. Until about a week ago it actually showed up, pretty much ruined. They packaged it in a really thin package and the cover is all sorts of banged up. I haven't had a chance to play the records, It might be playable still. At this point I think it should go to a true fan of the band, because worse case it could just be used for display purposes (yea yea I know, but it's better than nothing). Here are some pics, if your interested in working something out just feel free to message me.
You have probably already worked this out, but the covers for all versions are exactly the same. You could just buy a black vinyl and swap the discs out.

I just hope it doesn't sound like garbage, cause the OG pressing does. Either way I'll buy it, but I really hope it sounds good. Been waiting for this one for a long, long time.
Nah... too easy.

Finally picked up a copy today. Record A/B is black, while the remaining two records are blue. Deadwax etchings are kinda confusing as each record for example says A2 one side, B2 the other. Shouldnt it be A1 and B2? Spinning now to make sure I didnt get any dupe sides.
No. The A, B, etc signify the side. The 1,2 etc signify the cut. Optimal got the first cut, and the US pressing plant got the second (identical) cut. Except side E has 3 and 4. Probably because cuts 1 and 2 weren't acceptable for some reason.

All box set vinyl were pressed at Optimal.

yeah, jumping from $60 bookshelf speakers to $200 bookshelf speakers (new) is not going to help you "hear things a lot better"IMHO
Save more or try to hunt down a good deal on some used speakers
I kind of disagree. The jump in quality at the low end can be enormous. I'm sure there are some new $200 speakers that crush all sub $100 pairs easily. The biggest problem I can see would be with sound preferences. They may be better, but would the user like the sound?
Im sure the ELAC speakers would sound better than $60 Daytons. Polk (again, if you like the Polk sound) has their Monitor 60 floor standing speakers on sale places for around $100 each.
Finding some one well cared for used speakers would be your best bet and will yield the best results.
My my recommendation is to buy the 6.5" ELAC or the Polks from somewhere you can return them for any reason. Get them in your space and see if they are better. If not return them and continue saving.

That's funny. I just revisited this a few days ago after not listening to this for 16-17 years. It's a good album, but style wise I guess I've moved too far on from 90s Brit-pop to justify buying this. Hmmm. I'll have to think about this. I'll give the album a listen today and decide.

I got the Lore repress yesterday and that thing is SUPER noisy. It's one of the infamous "haze" or "smoke" style. I'm sure there are decent copies out there, but mine is not one of them. Everyone seems to like Lore better than the new album, but right now, I prefer the new.

It's finally time to replace my old 32" 720p TV from 2009. What TV is everyone using for gaming? I'm only looking for a 1080p TV around 40" (not interested in 4k). Looking for good picture quality, low input lag and a decent price. Any suggestions?
People's opinions are cool, but check this site out. They cover all aspects of the TV including videos showing the results of their tests. They also buy all the products off the self. No endorsements, advertisements, or "review models".

They also in depth reviews of headphones, as well.

Played some awesome games of Friday the 13th on Monday night with a couple of buddies. The game is so much fun if you have a lobby full of people willing to play using game chat (the way the game is meant to be played) and just want to have a good time. Really fun, casual game.

Playing Elder Scrolls Online (PVE only), Dark Souls 3, Friday the 13th (just started), The Division, and now Ori on Xbox One.
Always looking for decent people to play with. Skill is less important to me as I'm not great at most games anymore. GT: Kannibal. I usually play weeknights and through out the weekend. Hit me up here or on XBL.

Have you received your standard version that is set to release in two days or are you referring to an earlier available variant?
I have the D2C press. All pressings should sound exactly the same as they all should come from the same metal parts. Random pressing defects would be the only difference.
I just felt like the hype had died down a bit but didn't wanted people to forget that it's a great sounding pressing and will be available on Friday.

Awww yeah. Latest tug thread is looking good.
The only thing that "has toggles in my mind" is why aren't there more tug threads?

I would like to know what the source is before pulling the trigger.
I probably should have waited for this.

I had to go to another site to get the info. I ended up getting it, but I can't help but think it's going to be a disappointment. I hope I'm wrong and this was transferred and cut at Abbey Road (or a similarly respected mastering/cutting house) and sounds better than it ever has!
-
I disagree that the original sounds bad. It's not ideal, but it's not bad. I like the idea of this, but udiscover is terrible, and no mention of cutting source or mastering, or content of the multiple cd and DVD sets makes me cautious.

Well now you've actually got me pretty intrigued to listen to this thing.
There are minimal vocals in the songs, but listening this morning on my way to work, I didn't think there wasn't enough vocals. I guess I'm just getting used to it.
